Why? Because you got married? You think you're not still paying for it?
Or maybe you went gay?

Living in Wisconsin, and having just moved into an apartment after a lifetime of living in, and being a homeowner, I THINK I may now finally be done with ever having to mow another lawn, or shovel any more snow !! And though it was all GREAT exercise for (roughly) the last 40+ years, I'll probably miss it about as much as I'll miss mosquitoes (our state bird, btw!), the day global warming finally takes them ALL out ( SEE.....everyone always looks at global warming as such a DOWNER.....but there are SOME benefits to look forward to....that is, as long as those annoying little bastards go before WE do!!) !! SAVE FERRIS

Clocking out my time card the very last time. I got some beer and went down to the lake and drank many of them. I was in 7th Heaven.

I was extremely happy when I worked the last day as an electrician. I hated every day of it.

January 2nd was the last time I saw my mother. She died that night. Normally I wouldn't be happy about that. For years I saw her six days a week. The last month she cried in pain each day despite being given opiates. That was exceptionally hard to watch. I last spoke with her the day after Christmas. I held her and told her I will always love her. She was the best mother for whom one could hope. They upped her morphine which induced a coma during her final week. At least she's no longer suffering. It's a poignant happiness.

Going to school. Not education proper. I'm talking the life of attending school. I mean waking up for 11hr days of commuting, note taking, lazy classmates/study partners, eating on the go... all the while paying for things like $100 text books for courses I wasn't even certain about. Piles of homework, little sleep, etc.

" Name something you were happy to do for the last time ... in your life. "
For me most definitely being done with
all 12 years of school especially graduating high school ( what a nightmare of an experience that certainly was overall ) .
Thanks so much maxwellperfect for this most intriguing subject post .

Working under a manager I didn’t like last year. He resigned, and I was like, “YES”!

Thanks so much for your concern here Jay !
I'm just so glad it was over and done with long ago
and it's just a very distant part of my life now .
For me moving forward with this life
and not looking back has always been
a helpful yet good thing as well .
