Not a film most people know in the USA, but in an American Hippie in Israel, an unmanned tractor rolls over flowers. A lot of the movie uses heavy handed symbolism like unnamed assailants killing hippies and a dream sequence where the main protagonist hits some reel to reel computers with an oversized sledge hammer.

The entire film, "The Seventh Seal" is filled with symbolism.

George Lucas may as well be beating the viewer over the head with a Bible when he made "Phantom Menace", the Jesus comparisions are absurdly obvious (virgin birth, prophecy, Anakin is the chosen one)

Maybe you got beaten over the head with that bible too much: - There is no indication that Shmi Skywalker was a virgin; look up what a virgin is if you do not know. How Shi became pregnant is explained in Revenge of the Sith. - The chosen one or prophesies are a common mythology tropes that long, long predates the Jesus Christ gospel. Bringing balance to the force (by destroying the Sith) and being the saviour & redeemer/king of Jews are very different things btw. - I seem not to remember the passages in the bible where Jesus Christ betrays those he swore to protect and massacres them, including his wife and children?

Cool Hand Luke is filled with Christian symbolism but perhaps not heavy-handed ones.

Alexander Nevsky The crosses on the German bishop's miter convey a little Stalinist propaganda. Just a little!

Cool Hand Luke is filled with Christian symbolism but perhaps not heavy-handed ones. Joker, Spiderman 2 and Cool Hand Luke all made use of a main character being carried in a Jesus like manner. Cool Hand Luke was probably the cleverest about it. Spiderman 2 walked a fine line in the train scene.
Joker was probably the most heavy handed about it, not that I'm complaining.

Were any of those proto-Jesus Christs carpenters as well?

I missed that part then. I didn't even know his mother's name was Shmi.
No I didn't think she was a virgin because they explicitly stated it, but I thought the pieces of no visible father + powerful wonder child with overtones of chosen one were enough to imply the Jesus metaphor. I thought it was out there for us to make up our own minds.
I actually find it a little disappointing. I liked the Jesus/child of destiny metaphor.

Qui-Gon Jinn in Ep I ( vis-a-vis the Jedi council): A boy. ….It is possible he was conceived by the midi-chlorians. Plapatine (in Ep III): (sitting before a gigantic plasma field looking like a ovum with sperm floating within) Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life
(looks meaningful at Anakin).virgin : noun - a person who has never had sexual intercourse.

Bringing balance to the force (by destroying the Sith) and being the saviour & redeemer/king of Jews are very different things btw." So what? They may be common tropes, but if were gonna throw in the sexless/immaculate conception, it's kinda obvious where it was specifically insipired from. "- I seem not to remember the passages in the bible where Jesus Christ betrays those he swore to protect and massacres them, including his wife and children?" Did I say the story of Anakin was completely analagous to Jesus? I don't remember stating that, you're Strawmanning me. The point is, the whole "chosen one was that was born from sexless/supernatural birth" has a very obvious source material.

She may or may not be a virgin but I saw no indication Anakin was conceived the old fashioned way. That clip directly contradicts that notion by suggesting the other dude is so powerful he could will somebody into pregnancy with the force.

Honest trailers said the Death Star attack in the 1977 film was obviously Freudian.
"Can we pull out in time?"
"Let's blow this thing and go home."
etc.
