I knew that they mixed to create a wider range of colors than the traditional red, yellow, and blue. I found out by digging deeper into it that this is because they allow a greater range of color by recreating the original hues of red and blue by remaking them in the second round of color mixing. I should have looked deeper into it and said that these colors mixed better than the true primary colors of red, yellow, and blue and not that they were the true primary colors. Thank you for addressing my mistake so that I know better now. Oh, I wasn't trying to be pedantic. I was just curious why you chose magenta and cyan over red and blue. So what would experts consider the truest most primary shades of red and blue? Sorry for the delayed response but magenta and cyan, while not being true primary colors better absorb the opposite colors of the color they're replacing. So they are better for color mixing than the true primary colors of red and blue.
