Hi PPThe Night Hold Terror - Looks interesting, looks under seen as well! Likewise One Way Street, Mason & Duryea sells it straight away. Thanks for bringing these titles to light. Well this is funny because I had NOT seen the post above mine that mentioned DESPERATE HOURS when I posted! I had seen the bold face as I scrolled and thought it was my post giving off an echo! Anyway, THE NIGHT HOLDS TERROR had a police procedural approach and narration and they did that "trace the call" shtick where the telephone technicians are walking through the aisles following the line connections. Earliest film where I have seen this done I think.
RE: The Old Dark House
This is probably the one Hammer movie I have no desire to see again!
I like other William Castle films like Mr Sardonicus and his Psycho rip-off Homicidal.

hitchcockthelegendWatched Public Enemies once and never got interested. Given the talent and subject matter I tried again a few months later and gave up about 1/4 of the way in. I don't know what it is, but did nought for me. P.S. There Will Be Blood was my top pick for the year at the time. After several viewings of both, No Country For Old Men is now my number one of this century. A darn masterpiece.

hitchcockthelegendI had a major Hanks attack last week, never saw it coming, it just sorta happened. It was great to revisit some of those, I guess The 'Burbs would be the weakest link, but even that gave me some enjoyment. 12 Years a Slave is most certainly a movie you have to be prepared for, also why I have yet to revisit Schindler's List, which I have here but have not been able watch yet. The level of human suffering is not light entertainment at all. Ulzana's Raid looks good, I'm sort of a recent Burt Lancaster fan. Those noir-ish movies interest me too.
