Teams averaging 17.3 ppg. do you attribute that to good defense or horrible offense with inferior players and playcallers
mcgloin went nuts yesterday on the playcalling stating it was the worst game he's ever been a part of
what a bad look.

Bad oversimplified offense, lack of timing, teams haven't played much together hurts offense more than defense.

Wow. I hadn't seen that, but I'm glad to hear he did that. The play calling in that game was awful. Same goes for DC. There's no patience. No plan. Just throw, throw, throw. Zero thought. He alluded to drama behind closed doors, too. What a mess.

Leagues and teams depend on star power to put asses in seats. And the XFL has none. Landry Jones, whee. XLF I had one name, He Hate Me. 9 out of 10 couldn't tell you his right name. The USFL was a viable spring league because it had stars. Doug Flutie, Reggie White, Anthony Carter, Steve Young, Mike Rozier etc. it did fairly well and could have stay except for two ghastly decisions, to overexpand and to go fall. The USFL got a lot of publicity by one signing, Hershel Walker. They signed him as a junior when juniors couldn't go to the NFL. I just wonder (late in the game now) if Vince ever toyed with the idea of going to Clemson and giving a blank check to Trevor Lawrence. He would be more of a draw than Matt McGloin and you would need a couple more. And would Trevor risk going to this league, breaking both legs and working at Target for the rest of his life.

I went to a New York Stars WFL game in 1974 just before the league folded.

He cried and cried and cried.
But that was a fall league. A league with horrible ownership. Read once that one guy who almost got a franchise was investigated 30+ times for shady business practices. And they played in minor league cities. Birmingham, Shreveport, Honolulu.
Didn't they play games on Wednesday nights?

You tell me why the Wildcats would air it out on a 3rd and 6 when they're looking at a 50 yard field goal. What in the f, man. This is why Winston Moss needs to go. He's completely incompetent.

And then of course the Wildcats miss the field goal.

I'd bet 50 bucks Vince told all the coaches they need to consistently air it out down field. Why else would both of these teams be throwing down field so much with so little success?

Dallas-St. Louis may have been the best game so far. Stl screwed a bit when they thought they had a free play on an obvious offsides, but the ball was picked.

I'm looking forward to next year's new "AFFL" start up. (Another Fucking Football League).
It's always a great idea to start up a new league because all the previous ones have done great!
