The new Olympic sport of skateboarding doesn't have a minimum age, so a few 11- and 12-year olds will be participating.

If you're a grown adult - how would you feel competing against an 11 year old?
Wouldn't you forfeit?
Is there any joy in winning a medal for your country by beating an 11 year old as a grown adult at anything?
I mean - what if we rolled Tony Hawk out there - I'd kind of look at that as a hollow victory.

Good points.
It must have been an oversight that there was no minimum age. My guess is that for 2024 this will have changed.
In any case the British girl has been competing against adults (and doing quite well) for some time now. I wonder if there are any boys that young who can hold their own against adults.

That is to young.
16 should be the youngest to compete in the Olympics.
