feels like the titanic (without the first class passengers)









if you've ever landed inside a tennessee state prison
because you married your sister
in a behind the barn ritual
involving
circus animals
and frozen tv dinners.


then
you know what tens year doing time on
imdb's
religion, faith and spirituality message board
was like.


between the outrageous claims of wannabe dykes
and
the pseudo romeos who rode in here
on their trikes.
seasoned by the outright ridiculous
who claimed
jesus was a christian never a kyke.

 
you'd think
that
stupid was being pedaled wholesale
and you were in walmart
on
a saturday night.


all that being said:
i
wouldn't have traded doing my time here
for
any or all
resurrections from the dead.
for
you can't truly measure
integrity
by the holy books you're fed.


but
all these gracious hearts
i've
glorified and wed.
