The documentary I watched recently on the Spanish Flu was frightening for the reason you mention, the second wave which proved deadlier. The rush to "get back to normal" worries me greatly. The virus is still out there, there's no vaccine, no antibody test and plenty of asymptomatic spreaders. You cheeky monkey! Have some Pom bears and relax!!! You're obviously on the wrong continent. It's a well know fact if you drink (or inject) disinfectant you'll be perfectly safe from this "virus". It hasn't went all to pot quite yet. Hang in there... It's yourself!

You can go out for as long as you want but please stay indoors. Please work from home if you can but if you cannot you must go back to work. If you go back to work please don't use public transport consider getting a bicycle instead. Go outside for exercise for as long as you want but please also stay at home! Honestly I think my 3 year old grandson has a better idea "I'm going to find that Birust and make friends with it" How are you doing?

Honestly, if it weren't for all the politicians all of this would be boring. Listening to them is funnier than Scrubs! Or is scarier than Jaws? I'm doing alright. I've had a rough couple of weeks but I'm coming out of it. How goes it over yonder?

I got a bad chest and throat infection and had to have a blood test done to make sure I didn't have Covid. It's weird to say this but thankfully all I had was bronchitis and asthma.

I hope those circumstances that we spoke about didn't get worse for your friend and you. Do you think it people had personal experience of this that they'd take it seriously? Because I sometimes really wonder as I see the marches for freedom, just how much are these people losing by not going to the hairdresser or having their nails done? For me the lockdown has been tough too, we lost someone, my friend lost someone too...But like you I'm coming out of it. calmer ,wiser and I'm strangely happier and energised. During all of this we lost our other cat, she was 14 and got very poorly. I sat sobbing the day she died, recognising it wasn't all for her. Fuck me, losing an animal is really the pits, so why am I thinking about doing it all again?

Well I've had Bronchitis and am asthmatic so I know that must have been tough and scary for you. I hope you're recovering.

Fuck me, losing an animal is really the pits, so why am I thinking about doing it all again? I don't know! The family got hit hard. My friends mom died then her brother (his uncle) both died from this virus. His dad is at home but will need to be on oxygen for the rest of his life. The mom and her brother didn't have any physical contact so it's unsettling bizarre that they both caught the virus. You hear all the stories that after people die the family says "we should have listened" or "we should have been more careful". I think sooner or later almost everybody will at least know somebody who has died from this. I hope I'm wrong. I'm like you, I'm feeling much better. All we can do is stay as safe as we can and away from coughing licking idiots. It's sad that I'd even need to mention that. I'm really sorry you lost your other cat. I get it. That's probably more than I'd be able to deal with. You're thinking of doing it again because of all the joy and laughter she brought you for all those years and it's hard to envision your life without a loving animal in it. Both your cats would want you to be happy. On a happier note, I have a duck living in one of my bushes and she has 7 eggs in her nest. I'm going to be an uncle!!!

That poor family, I've seen similar stories about people getting it without apparently being in contact with it. One of our own cases was a man who had been shielding for 3 weeks, hadn't seen a soul. I guess it was on something that they all touched at some point? Devastating for you all. It's fascinating how untouched some parts of the world are, if you look at Worldometers daily tallies it's incredible. Aw ducks! Remember your thread on "the other place" about the cutest animal? I love ducks, we have some in the fields around the house and they're just oblivious to all of this crap that's going on in the world, just waddling around and quacking😂

It's very scary to think that somebody could get this virus without even being in contact with somebody. Then you're looking at mail, packages or food delivery. Something that was outside that was brought into the house or he had contact with. When this first started I think we were all so paranoid that we were taking precautions to the extreme. Now it feels that maybe we've become more relaxed with the situation. At least it feels like I have.
It is fascinating how some places are untouched. I have to believe that eventually it will be everywhere. At it's peak 7500 people were dying every day from this. Over the last week it's closer to 4500. It'll be interesting to see what happens to that number now that the lock downs are relaxing.
Regarding "the other place" I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I have a steep ditch in front of my house and whenever there's a heavy rain I have water sitting. Which defeats the purpose of a drainage ditch I know. I've seen ducks swimming and always wondered where they came from. Now I know. Yep, you're right, no social distancing worries for the ducks.
Stay safe. 😷
