It's truly one of the all time great vampire movies. A mesmerizing mix of horror, action, and comedy done better than almost everything today.

I remember it primarily for having the most laugahable looking least threatening vampires...even for the 80s. With, bar Echo & The Bunnymen, a verry overrated soundtrack

With, bar Echo & The Bunnymen, a verry overrated soundtrack How do they compare with the vampires in Twilight? From what little knowledge of Twilight I have, they look like "normal" people. Whereas the Lost Boys look like the LA/MTV view of what a tough rock music fan would look like. They look like poodle rock fans dirtied up a bit. I guess it depends on where you live/grew up which defines which end of the "cool"/"uncool" spectrum they sit. For me they looked like people trying so hard to be "cool".
