Jaws: When the shark eats the little boy on the raft and he explodes in a fountain of blood.
Indiana Jones Temple Of Doom: Thugees whip children they enslaved, Indy punches Short Round in the face really hard, Short Round beats the Maharaja in the face.
Jurassic Park: The T-Rex abuses the kids in the car and the little boy get electrocuted on the fence.
Bonus War Of The Worlds: Aliens show up out of nowhere and murder every goy they see with lasers that disintegrated their flesh.

Besides the 1º of separation between SS and Heather, not sure what your link has to do with the OP or what the point of any of this is. Just sharing or are you objecting to something?

Just finished watching ET. What did you think of it?
E.T. is Steven Spielberg presenting himself as a messiah to children.

Spielberg has some dark streak deep down inside him somewhere.

Not a Spielberg film, but this comes to mind: One of King's worst. And what is really crazy about that is that he directed it!

Spielberg has some dark streak deep down inside him somewhere. Well, Temple of Doom I know George Lucas said that it was meant to be darker than Raiders. But both he and Spielberg were going through personal problems during production and it bled into the script.

Unfortunately Spielberg lost his balls somewhere along the way and got real nervous about violence to kids and guns in his movies.

There's also animal cruelty in Spielberg films.
Jaws--the dog-and blowing up the shark, he just runs out of steam in the book.
Raiders--the Hitler impersonator monkey who gets poisoned.
ET -- free the frogs (granted that goes against the norm)
Temple of Doom - chilled monkey brains etc
Last Crusade - seagulls
JP - the steer, goat

I love Jurassic Park, but yes, I always had a problem with this scene. I know they (animals in pens used for feeding then dinosaurs) are in the book but I can't recall if live animal bait was shown.
The steer scene is rather callous and makes Hammond look like a total asshole.
Kathleen Kennedy was against the scene.

Something to add to the original post - that little kid getting forcibly abducted by the aliens in the house in Close Encounters.
