time.com/4750693/call-duty-wwii-activision/Thoughts on this new addition to CoD? Me personally I'm glad they went back to the series' original roots rather than advancing with technology. That was getting annoying as fuck.

Can't wait, I've been saying for ages someone needs to make a FPS WWII game so I'm definitely buying this, and if there is one thing I'll give COD credit for is they do a great campaign.

I am really excited. Call of Duty is still the best FPS as far as I am concerned, but I stopped getting the games. Advanced Warfare was just meh and Infinite Warfare was trash. Ghosts is even worse. However, the game mechanics and perks like killstreaks still made COD insane fun when done right. I am anxious to see the game in its classic setting.

I'll probably check it out. I will wait a week at least to see what critics and friends say about it first. But I welcome a return to classic fps content rather than the highly mobile futuristic stuff cod has been shilling out the past several years.
Why they don't let the 3 studios make 3 different styles of Cod I'll never know.

You've got 3 studios. Run a WW2 shooter outta one, a Modern shooter out of another and a futuristic shooter outta the third. You can keep running dlcs for 3 years before the next entry in the series and your fan base won't get completely burnt out on the same game year after year.

Neat. I love WWII history so this is probably going to be the first CoD I buy since World at War.
Also... Where is Harry Skywalker?? He loves CoD. Why hasn't he posted a reply yet?
Harry where art thou?

more like... Call of Duty: Same Ol' $h1t ; then everyone acts like it's the second coming, as usual.
that series fell off not too long after the early days of those games. but for whatever reason they(reviewers etc) keep on praising them release-after-release when i see the commercials and think same ol' same ol'.

I disagree. Sure, the games have gotten stale, but I believe COD still had the best gameplay and formula. Now that they can go back to WW2 with next gen graphics and gameplay, I am excited. Call of Duty can be loads of fun if done correctly.

DSDSquaredIn terms of multiplayer shooters... i think Counter-Strike (and variations on PC) is easily #1 as that's definitely my most played multiplayer shooter game ever as i played it quite heavily back from 2000-2005 (maybe a bit beyond this). no other multiplayer shooter comes close for me as outside of that, especially if i want to look at consoles and not PC, i would probably go with GoldenEye on N64 but that's almost purely all for nostalgia sake as i doubt GoldenEye will be anything close to my memories of it playing with my cousin back around 1997-1999.

Call of Duty haters are always desperate every year.
COD games absolutely destroy, obliterate and humiliate their entire competition with absolutely no effort and that's never gonna change.
COD haters are just laughable.

Overwatch has taken Call of Dutys place in my console. I'll still pop in Black Ops 3 now and then to play with some friends but I had no interest in the latest COD. A return to WW2 does pique my interest tho.
