when will these new COVID-19 cases stop. I am. Going out has always been my go-to way of feeling less depressed, and not being able to is making me go stir-crazy.

Mildly. Have classical music playing in earbuds, had an edible. I'm glad it's sunny out today. It helps. May go out in the yard after lunch.

Don't get depressed. Keep positive thoughts in mind. You're healthy! When I have down time like this I find it good to get creative. I am an artistic person so that helps. But even if you're not you can still get some DIY ideas online. Give it a shot. You'll be surprised what you can learn and do when you look things up.

This COVID-19 stuff should not depress you as it will play itself out eventually.
just the fact a high percentage of us are not going to die should give you some level of comfort. but with the medias non-stop coverage of it makes it out to be worse than it actually is. like sometimes they will show cases of younger people dying from it etc, which just plays up ones fears of it. but in the end... the vast majority of us will be fine and if your young your chances of dying is that much less.
even by their current estimates of 100-240k deaths here in the USA (like when is all said and done), while not a small figure, it could be MUCH worse. plus, for all we know they could be overestimating that death figure. but just say their estimate is in the ball park... it's not many people considering the country has about 330 million people. for measure... the Spanish Flu (which was the last legitimate threat from a virus) I think took out about 600,000-700,000 people in the USA (something around 50 million worldwide and some places claim up to 100 million).
p.s. those who are struggling to pay bills are having a rougher time (like more overall stress) than the vast majority of people who get COVID-19. so short of those dying from COVID-19, those who are out of a job because of it are suffering more in general especially those people who are pretty much living paycheck-to-paycheck or thereabouts.

Not yet. I am lucky. All the things I like is not being stopped by this virus. I like to take walks, hike, bike, fish, go on my boat, drink beer. Plus the other day I saw a park ranger at my local State Park and asked him if tent camping was allowed. He said yes. So as soon as it gets a little warmer I can go camping. But I do miss going to restaurants.

I'm no doctor, hilariously not a doctor... yet this is my self diagnosis & if it helps...
#1 turn off the news, or more specifically, don't overdose on news. If you want the info, try the likes of Wikipedia where it's straight fact, charts, graphs, & not talking heads & breaking news scrolls & red alarms & banners & eyeball clickbait. At the very least, aim to give tv news your attention at specific times of day - I've been checking around 11am & 2am... setting up a day/week & recapping, + 2am has more live global perspectives because of time zones.
You have to allow joy into your day. That sounds simple, yet the alternative is quite low. Walks, silly comedy movies & tv, books, hobbies. If you wallow, it could affect your mentals. Healthy ppl can help save the world by staying at home & living in pyjamas. Accept & try to embrace a bit of that. That's what the healthcare universe wants us to do, for them so we don't relapse.
I've accepted that Canada will likely be in isolation mode until July, possibly commencing some normalcy around June (albeit no groups). 2 weeks ago, the gov't spoonfuls of medicine waiting 14 days at a time... that needs to be rejected for sensible fact. Move the goalposts way down the road.... middle of summer. By the end of May, that could obviously change. It's April 1st, I can't keep clock watching waiting for weeks to pass 20 seconds at a time.
The real news will be India, Africa, & refugee camps. Those will likely be catastrophic, & yet we have to stay on our couches eating pizza because if the western world doesn't pick up the slack now, we can't help anyone later.

Anxious but not depressed. As long as you (and everyone here for that matter) do what needs to be done, we'll be fine. *crossing fingers*

What "needs to be done"? Sitting inside while everything crumbles, and you eventually will end up with the virus either way?
Eventually? Either way? Got a crystal ball you're not sharing with me?

if you sit inside you are actively helping other people and minimizing the odds u would get it. scientists are HARD at work on a vaccine. dont worry this is Not the end of days.

I’m annoyed I can’t go to the gym — they’re all closed up! I just have to go for runs around the block and shoot hoops in the backyard.

I'm depressed about the economic situation not about the virus. 20 people in my town have died from it so far. In a city with a population of 380.000!

They say retaining structure and some sense of discipline (working days - typically weekdays for many) is key to fending off depression.
For example, you could ...
Regularly wash bedding & clothing when required and shower at least once a day if possible.
Learn to cook new and healthy recipes which can also help to avoid indulging in too much unnecessary snacking.
Enjoy an occasional beer or two, quit smoking if you smoke (or go as long as you can between puffing).
Complete any outstanding paperwork well before the deadline (eg. bills, loans etc.).
Sign up for things online, be it podcasts, virtual chambers, internet banking, getting a contactless debit card etc.
Cut your hair (I just shaved my head), fingernails, toenails, nasal hair (might need tweezers).
Appreciate the jaw-dropping beauty of outer space and women (or women in outer space).
Exercise, dance, aerobicise.
Wipe down any windows to let in clear light & remove dust from monitors.
Add some colour to your immediate surroundings (but avoid flowers if you're allergy-ridden like me).
Draw, paint or pixelate.
Sing.
Write about some of the movies you watch, books you read, or music you listen to, right here on imdb2, or peruse the archives on boards that interest you.
Anna Kendrick says some actors with gaps to fill during filming like to learn new skills, like how to play clock patience or solitaire, how to play a musical instrument, things like that.

woke up with a pain in my ear when i move my jaw. this now makes me a bit depressed since i certainly dont want to go out seek medical help during these times. however, from what i DARED to briefly google i gather this is nothing serious, took an anti-inflamatory painkiller and hoping for the best.
other than that I continue to be optimistic, focusing on all the time I now have for learning, new hobies, calling all my friends and loved ones, and creating. in a way thats a gift too, to be given the free time. i also can sleep in late, which is a god sent for me.

Adult edibles. Adult? What, do they come in pornographic shapes? You sly boots! Of course they do!

Not depressed but I wanna go SOMEWHERE, but I don't wanna go stand in line just to be able to go inside a store. Not being able to go anywhere is the worst part.

No. I miss spending time with my nieces, but otherwise I feel great.
I can do weightlifting as much as I want, because I have all the necessary equipment in my home and I never go to the gym anyway. I have lots of time to play guitar, listen to music, read books and watch DVDs etc. There is also a large forest right behind my yard and I go hiking there every day.
