Let me put it this way, think of the biggest movie star of the 1930s, and you are on the right track.

#2 Noble Johnson King Kong
Son Of KongYou are more than half way there! But the other title character is bigger than Son of Kong (and a very famous name) and Johnson has a larger role than he has in SOK.

Come to think of it, I guess Moby Dick was indeed bigger than the son. Queequeg was certainly a bigger role than in either Kong.

But this other character does share something in common with the Son of Kong.

I have never seen the 1930 version-I was surprised to see Joan Bennett was making films then. Johnson had quite a varied filmography-he played Sitting Bull, and started his own movie company. I had only known him for King Kong and Son of Kong, The Most Dangerous Game (where he played a Russian)..

He played another in 1940's Seven Sinners.

Prime-- This looks like it would have been fun to play (and on my birthday, too). Are going to post some other PRIME PUZZLES in the future? I am SO glad that Marian Marsh and Noble Johnson are finally received some recognition ...that was keeping me awake at night.

Haha I wasn't going to post it initially because you had your own contest going the same day!
I would say I won't do another but I am starting to think of possible questions so you never know! I have only seen Marian Marsh in three films but she left an impression, especially after Svengali, so I wanted to get a question out of her name.
