Okay, I'm just stumbling around with this one: #5 Nick Adams Boris Karloff Godzilla The map of my stumbling: 5. This actor has the distinction of starring in a movie (Die, Monster, Die) with a household name (Boris Karloff) who in his most famous role (Frankenstein) could only lift his hand thanks to science. He also starred in a movie with another household name (Godzilla) who only played one role throughout his career but could destroy an entire city thanks to science. On tv he also tangled with a sporting enthusiast from way out of town before the ship captain from Iowa (Shatner, but I don't know what it relates to) did or the physical fitness enthusiast (Schwartzenegger? But I don't know what that relates to either) who terminated his opponent. He was known to be a friend to rebel (James Dean...plus, there was his TV series) ) and king alike. He was nominated for best supporting actor Oscar (for Twilight Of Honor) (Garth Game quizmaster's ears perk up again). Name the actor and if you think you can, the two co-stars that might excite a Geiger counter.
? ? ? (That's for the clues I couldn't suss out.) Hurray! King is Elvis.
Kirk fought an alien in hand to hand combat
so did Schwarzenegger
and Nick Adams fought one in Outer Limits first.

Whoopee! Thanks.
But can you help me out with the "sporting enthusiast from way out of town" and how it connects to Shatner and Schwartzenegger?
EDIT: You were explaining while I was writing. Never mind. And thanks again.

Elvis's mother reportedly said of Adams "he's a pushy little fellow isn't he?"

Elvis's mother reportedly said of Adams "he's a pushy little fellow isn't he?" Sounds very much like his role in Pillow Talk.

I like Adams though-for someone who had an Oscar nomination and was apparently ambitious for success, he didn't appear to slum his acting in his monster movie appearances. In his Godzilla film he says of G and Rodan: "they caused a lot of trouble on Earth!" with as much conviction as possible.

Aussie, If you’re correct I thank you for putting me out of my misery. I struggled with this one all day. It made me fall off the wagon. Just kidding. I’ve never boarded the wagon.

1 Connery and Caine - The Man Who Would Be King Play Dirty / Shalako ? Yeah!!!!!!!!!
They shot in the same desert area. If you watch them at the same time--you can see where they used the same desert location for some shots. I heard that they were so close at some points Connery or Caine would walk over the hill to chat with each other.
PS I thought the first one would be the easiest. But I originally had "a quest that took them to Kafiristan" instead of "Sikandar" and felt maybe that would give it away too fast.

One slight error-I said they only filmed Play Dirty in one location--but they also filmed at Shepperton Studios in England...but so did Shalako so I am saved!
That area of Spain shows up in so many 60s Westerns.
