S7 Mel Brooks F26 Lesley Ann Warren life stinks M28 GENE WILDER THE PRODUCERS HALF FOR ME HALF FOR SPIDER Oh, this is YOURS AND YOURS ALONE. Marsha. NOW, here is the kicker: Mel Brooks was only OSCARED ONCE as a screenwriter (for both a the original story and its final screenplay). AND, HE WON THE OSCAR for it. The film was..........dumb roll.... THE PRODUCERS. WON: Best Writing, Story and Screenplay - Written Directly for the Screen The Producers (1967). And, with that, Marsha finishes us off the quiz. --------------------------------------------- Young Frankenstein was Adapted From Other Material . The Producers, Life Stinks, Spaceballs, and High Anxiety were the only screenplays that fit the conditions of this quiz. As it turns out, I chose Life Stinks for the Actress in a film that fitted the rules of the game.

Thanks for all your great screenwriters games, kijii . They were challenging, fun, and enlightening (I never would have thought Ben Hecht wrote a novel, for example). And thanks for adding the extra info this time about the various writers. It's so important to give credit to these important talents without whom narrative films as we know them wouldn't exist. Congrats to all players, too. Hope to see you at the next kijii game, whenever/whatever that may be. And looking forward to marshamae 's game on Monday! THANK YOU, SPIDER, AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO PLAYED. I ENJOYED THE ON-BOARD INTERACTIONS.
HOWEVER, I DID MAKE AT LEAST ONE KIJII GAFF--AND WHAT GAME WOULD BE COMPLETE WITHOUT ONE ?
THE GAFF WAS THAT John Hughes WAS NEVER OSCARED AS A SCREENWRITER AND, THEREFOR SHOULD HAVE BEEN USED IN THE GAME.
NEVERTHELESS, I POSTED IT SINCE SOMEONE CORRECTLY MATCHED IT WITH TWO MOVIES AND OSCARED PERFORMERS.
AGAIN, IT WAS MY GAFF.
I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO MARSHA'S GAME ON MONDAY, TOO.
