1. I went into the office to print checks, and my boss has taken the piece of furniture home that the blank checks were stored in. So I only had enough blank checks in my desk to print 8. He is bringing them in tomorrow. I will go back in on Friday.
2. There was no line at the ShopRite today to go in an shop. 2a. There was a lot of stuff in stock we needed. 2b. There was a foaming soap I use in stock!!!!! I got four. 3. We grilled dinner on the grill outside. 4. I ordered a new mattress to be delivered on Friday.
That is all.

Yes, shopping is getting better. The long Soviet-style food lines are disappearing. And the shelves are well stocked. Did the 8 checks go to the 8 biggest wigs in the company? Or was it random? Small companies. They are having a harder time weathering this.

Catmom had her 91st birthday. happy belated birthday, Catmom! My mother-in-law turned 102 in March. We couldn't take her out because the associated living complex wasn't allowing visitors or letting residents out. No one there has gotten sick, so far.

Cool!
At work, we now have to do a self-screening questionnaire to determine if we are able to work amid everything going on. This only applies to those who are going to the branch or are out visiting customers (doing cold calls, deliveries etc.).
I don't have any intention on visiting any customers, so it doesn't apply to me. I'm working from home, and going out only if absolutely necessary. That, plus my home branch is an hour away by car. So, I have NO intention of going there anytime soon.
in the past month and a half, I have only been to 6 places:
Local drug store (to pick up prescriptions and pick up some Pepsi) Mini department store (to pick up essential groceries and some things that some might not deem necessary, but to me...they are.) A&W (drive thru only to get food) McDonalds (drive thru only to get food) Our accountant's house (to sign off on my taxes), and To a variety store that is affiliated with The Beer Store. I had to drive about 10 minutes out of town because our local Beer Store was closed for renovations.
Other than that, ever since I got home on March 19th, I have not left the county.

Joker's Wilde Before we go into the office, we have to check that we will be the only one in that day, and the time we will spend there. The building owner has everybspace sanitized every night. I only go in once a week, but because of boss's boo-boo, I have to go in on Friday. We stick to our offices. I've been avoiding pharmacies because I think they are germ factories.

The territory manager is wanting a text on when one goes to the branch, and when they leave. That way, should something go awry, we can try to pinpoint at what point it went awry.
As long as everyone is mindful of the social distancing (keeping 6 feet away), I'm OK with that. I'm respectful of this, as should everyone else. There have been a couple of instances where the perimeter was breached. However, I wasn't worried. In our county, the amount of cases has been very minimal. Even in the closest big city (London, ON, Canada), in a population of just about 400000, currently there are less than 400 cases. I just feel sorry for Toronto as it so crowded - there is nowhere else to go. Of course, this city has been hard hit.

Joker's Wilde We live in New Jersey and in Bergen County - one of the hardest hit in our state. We have close proximity to NYC, so it's been . . . interesting. This will ongoing for another few months, probably more. They are talking about a second wave to his toward end of the year. We're far from finished with this thing.

Iβm jealous. I want a new mattress. π We are SOOOOOO overdue. Managed to hit a very good sale! The upside of COVID-19 is sales. And I'm doing my part by contributing to the economy!

I was going to buy a new one in March but then I got laid off. I could still spring for one but it feels irresponsible. Iβll look into sales though. If thereβs a good one then the responsible thing to do would be to buy. π ...Right?

Catmom is not Catwoman I take it. Correct? He won't answer me NoraHe's still butthurt from IMDb. well regardless, its a pretty funny remark. even though we know the answer. i didnt view it as a poisonous one either. its more like an SNL weekend update type of a friendly jab between Colin and Micheal. Or Michael and Pete Davidson actually.

Or Michael and Pete Davidson actually. Seriously I thought it might be his wife. I've known older couples who call each other "daddy" and "mama". I guess they started it when they had little kids and the nicknames just stuck. I always found that rather creepy.

UPDATE: MOAH things that happened today. 1. Had to drive my daughter to her apartment in Jersey City to check on her water heater that broke. The good news: No traffic. The bad news: None. With no traffic due to stay-at-home orders, it's a breeze, even during "rush hour". 2. Stopped off at Trader Joe's after going to Jersey City. Waited in line IN THE RAIN for 25 minutes (well, in the rain for 8 minutes until we hit the overhang. Did a good shopping. Waited 15 minutes at the checkout line. Not complaining. The store was fully stocked - among the things I got was a whole roasting chicken, chicken breasts, two bottles of foaming soap, and a pack of toilet paper! Woo hoo!!!!! Got produce and other stuff as well. Spent $106.00. That was nothing. The couple in front of us had two large carts and spent . . . are you ready for this??? . . . $660.00!!!!!!!! But they bought weird things, like three big jars of green olives stuffed with pimento, etc. 3. Worked for two solid hours reviewing construction invoices. That is all for now. Oh, and I did laundry. 3.

At least it was a learning experience!!! I guess. 70 including tip. would have liked to have 3ASL lessons for that money instead though... have to learn lockpicking. I did go to class once, but one class is not enough plus i dont have the right tool at home. Took the guy 1 minute of course. Oh well. focusing on the positive: when he came and did the original assessment he said he might have to destroy the lock because its actually locked, not just closed and he is not sure he CAN lockpick (that was surprising to me to learn). I told him that I too can destroy the lock as a solution and was hoping he can do something more elegant. he did manage to open it without destroying it after all. here is to me hoping he didnt bring corona into my carefully desinfected and Provably Non Coronic house.
