Butterfield 8(1960)--dir. by Daniel Mann Excellent! Our first example of "trumping". Your 8 (numeral) trumped the placeholder's Eight (word). Though because mine was only a placeholder and I am not competing you did not need to trump it. Any old version of 8 would have worked, such as "huit" or "8th". Everone should try and trump mattgarth's efforts. He is the one you all have to catch. You have a number of bridges to cross before you do so, but you are on the right route. You would be cuckoo to not at least try.

20 Million Miles To Earth I like a man who thinks big. I think our remaining members now have a moral obligation to fill in every integer between 1 and 20,000,000.

ggggrrr -- trumped by Doghouse! Knowing my reluctance to participate in games, I'm sure you intentionally left the irresistable low-hanging fruit for me.

Woman Times Seven (1967) Vittorio De Sica Just fillin' in some gaps. I have suspicion you are working to a system, Doghouse, rather than letting inspiration visit you as it listeth. You get no credits for fillin' in gaps. When I mentioned bribery, I was thinking hard cash, not some trivial housework tidying up the thread.

I'm both prosaic and lazy: it's easier than doing actual housework.
