Aren't you on the West coast with me Nan? I sure am! It was a friend who told me it was only 35 degrees there, I don't think it was snowing, just cold

Oddly enough we had some tiny hail today, in a shower that lasted about three minutes, tops.

It's freezing here in Dublin, Ireland as well. Feels like January.

We're getting these rather violent wind storms. Not sure I can officially call them "storms" but they are whipping aggressively and trees, not just branches are coming down.

It got up to 40 today; and we have a frost advisory for tonight - going in the low 30's. Had to take in the hanging flower baskets. Glad we haven't planted anything.

We don't have spring bulbs (no daffodils, tulips, hyacinth, etc.) as the squirrels like to dig them up, so we quit them many years ago. There is one die-hard tulip that comes up off the patio in the backyard each year. I don't have the heart to dig it up and dispose of it. Everything else is perennials that bloom later. Well, we have cat's paw which blooms from now through the Summer. I love it! It's indestructible!
