Eh...Scarface isn't untouchable to me but I'm not eager for another remake.

I don't really mind that much (Pacino film was a remake of sorts anyways). I'm guessing to make it more relevant for modern times, it will be about Mexican cartels.

MarvBut it is untouchable as many praise that movie including myself. Scarface (1983) is pretty unique to as there is nothing like it out there. but with that said... no matter what movie is remade I always give my honest opinion of it unlike some people who might praise a movie and if it's remade they automatically dis it regardless of the quality of the remake. but as for whether ill watch it... maybe, as ill have to see more info on it with trailers etc.

I think generally most remakes are unnecessary...and the ones that I would be most interesting in are ones that are much much older than Scarface 83. I could understand remaking monster movies of the 50s or westerns and gangster flicks of that era to fit for a modern audience. I don't think theres a lag in understanding with Scarface that the story needs to be retold. I think todays audience understands it perfectly and that remakes are best suited for films that are lost in translation, so to speak. But yea...if they have a trailer for it that makes it look good my interest will peak. I wasn't interested in a Joker movie until I saw the trailer and then it wound up being my favorite film of last year.

Luca is directing this?? ....Yikes. His Suspiria was not very good. Also it seems like people forgot Scarface was already a remake.

Coens participating can't hurt. I was going to scream "WHY?" until I seen they were in on it.

Luca is a very visual director, but he could be considered ponderous. His Suspiria was just way too much self-indulgence. I wasn't scared for one moment, just bored s<>tless. Yeah I felt like Suspiria he was just showing off how big his ego was.

Yeah I felt like Suspiria he was just showing off how big his ego was. The film tanked as well and I really don't know what audience he had in mind. It's like he made it for himself. It didn’t help that it was released to limited theaters. The theater it was playing at where I went to go see it I think only had it playing at 9 pm.

Already not interested. I like the original very much and LOVE the '83 version, but another one in this day and age when remakes can't be done right to save anybody's life 99% of the time? BAD idea, BAD idea.

Wasn’t Diego Luna attached to star in a remake? I guess that’s not happening.

Scarface is Al Pacino's worst film. I can't believe how bad it is.

Scarface is Al Pacino's worst film. I can't believe how bad it is. No chance. He was in Jack and Jill. Still, I'm also not a big fan of Scarface either. No doubt it had a ton of cultural resonance but I never found it to be a particularly enjoyable film. I think part of it is that I'm just not keen on De Palma's direction. It's like with Wes Anderson; I can see the craft but there's just some element there that makes me want to look away. It did give us Push It To The Limit, though, so that's cool. Great cheesy hype-up song.

I did not care for the film either.
