Moore has the slight edge for me, but I liked Brosnan a lot too. They're my two favorite Bonds, followed by Connery then Dalton, with that sourpuss Craig taking up the rear.

Moore. Not only was his wit done better, but he also was the more likely "dangerous killer", mainly because the dweebs would never buy he could be a killer. No one would ever trust Brosnan to turn a back on him. No way he could be successful. People would lose their guard around Moore, and unfortunately, that is what makes someone capable of multiple kills.

Moore.
I grew up with his films and I liked the humor. He had a dark side as evidenced by him kicking the car off the cliff in For Your Eyes Only.

I preferred Pierce Brosnan. Some people don't give Roger Moore enough credit. True, his portrayal was too quippy and lacked in some of the darker elements from Ian Fleming's depiction, but the first few novels, Bond was very much British in style and taste. He just kept his dark side very much hidden, and he did have some ruthless kills as seen in The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only.
On the other hand, Brosnan fairly resembled Fleming's depiction with the dark hair and cool eyes. He excelled as the debonair playboy type, and he did have some cold, ruthless kills in his four films. He had the better physicality in the action sequences.

Brosnan was a better Bond. He just looked and sounded the part.
That said, I mostly prefer the films from the Roger Moore era.
