Of course it could be all coincidence. Or it could be such as Keith Richards (was it not?) who said that every song you hear owes something to another song before it. 'We Came Along This Road' written by Nick Cave was published in 2001. The TV series Line of Duty first appeared eleven years later in 2012 with its distinctive closing credits theme. The composer herself on her piano enjoys a slow tense approach to crescendo (as clearly befitted the exciting and sometimes tightly strung episode finales of the TV show) And barely hidden amongst her keys and chords lie the more protrusive organs heard on the outro of Cave's track (g to f+, no?), an open gushing evenly tempered approach which was snapped up and used in the show's actual end theme track.
See what your ears think.
Or again, Nick Cave denied ever hearing the 2005 song 'Grey Man' written by Scottish band Rising Signs. On his 2010 album 'Grinderman II' there is a track which Cave claimed to have written for his wife Susie Bick. It is a wonderful track. But the intro'd "ooh"s and percussive structure can be no coincidence. You are willing to forgive Cave his wrongful denial of plagiarism if only for the stand-out lyrical line "The spinal cord of JFK, Wrapped in Marilyn Monroe's negligee, I give to you" Or the more light-hearted pairing of "A custard-coloured super dream, Of Ali McGraw and Steve McQueen, I give to you"
Again, see what your ears think. You really need only hear 60 seconds of both videos.

There’s a different version, but it’s difficult to know which is best.
rock version of Copland in a stadium. Thought I like the classical one more. These trumpets give me the shivers.
