To the Bat Polls!
Adam West is my favorite all-time live-action screen Batman.
Michael Keaton is my second favorite all-time live-action screen Batman.
Holy choices, Batman!

As regards Batman, it's a tie for me between Keaton and Bale. I voted for Bale though simply because I think he makes for a more convincing Bruce Wayne, in that he possesses the right looks and overall demeanor. Both make excellent Batmans.

To me the difference between DC & Marvel was DC is superheroes with the secret identities as a side gig. Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent, etc all seemed to be things to hide in between gigs as the hero.
Marvel was always more the secret identity was the person with the hero as the side gig. Peter stressing about laundry or tests. Steve trying to fit in with the modern world.
So is Bruce Wayne the suave, debonair ladies man? Or just rich as hell so everyone gloms onto him hoping to snag him? Look at our uber rich dudes. Elon Musk that suave? Jeff Bezos? Bill Gates?
Trump apparently went for paid professionals a certain amount of the time.
So pulling off Bruce Wayne?
This is why Keaton worked. No one really knew who he was which makes sense. Someone like Batman isn't going to be on the prowl for chicks. What if one stumbled onto something?

Ben Affleck had the best potential and was the best fit. He just wasn't given a good movie to shine.
West was too campy. Keaten was a bit... weird. Clooney was too dry. Bale felt a tad too brittle, like he was just a step away from breaking down.
Kilmer would actually have been my 2nd choice, but he didn't have quite the screen presence as Batfleck.

Christian Bale is probably the best actual actor to play the character, and was definitely given the best material to work with as the character.
But for all that's been said I actually liked Ben Affleck very much as Batman. I've always said that he and Zack Snyder shouldn't have been working on Superman at all, but should have made a dedicated Batman movie.
And, I think that we're all looking at Michael Keatons performance with rose colored glasses. He wasn't bad, but he wasn't the amazing thing that everyone seems to remember him as nowadays.

Love Keaton and Bale. But I had to vote Bale. Especially since he seems to be so underrated all of a sudden.

A little too early to judge Pattinson. I'll wait.
In the meantime, while I'm not fond of the writing, I'd have to say Affleck. I love Keaton's offbeat performance, but he didn't really have the look. Bale had the look, and was the first to really put a dintinction between the different personas of the character, but I really can't sanction that batvoice. Affleck was the best of both worlds, as well as having the best suit and fight choreography.

Bale was probably the best Bruce Wayne. My fondness for Batman Returns puts Keaton at or near the top. Val Kilmer was alright.
Adam West was probably the best fit for his format, but there's only so much I can handle of his format. KAPOW.
It's hard to say, it really is. I really liked Keaton, but he has almost no intimidation factor as Bruce Wayne. That's what really separates him from Christian Bale. Even in a suit, Bale looks like he can start swinging and empty a bar.
I really liked Keaton though. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Michael Keaton.
For me, he was the first, decent attempt at a serious Batman after that pathetic, sad joke of a twat, Adam West.

Ok, fair enough, but why? You haven't seen him as Batman in a whole movie. And we all know they show the best parts in the trailer. So....?
