Like with "Jaws", it's another bonafide classic that you really can't find anything else positive to say that hasn't already been said. Maltin Movie Guide Review: Back to the Future (1985) - 3 out of 4 stars"A teenager of the 80's travels back in time to the 50's, where he must arrange for his mismatched parents to meet--or else he won't exist! Wonderful, wacked-out time-travel comedy takes its time to get going, but once it does, it's a lot of fun, building to a frantic climax just like other Bob Gale-Robert Zemeckis scripts (USED CARS, I WANNA HOLD YOUR HAND, 1941). Lloyd is a standout as crazed scientist who sets the story in motion. Huey Lewis, who sings the film's hit song, "The Power of Love", has a cameo as a high-school teacher. Produced by Steven Spielberg and company. Followed by two sequels and an animated TV series."

Entertaining with a capital E. Not exactly sure what Maltin means by "takes its time to get going" because I thought it was engrossing right from the start.
In fact, I just might watch it tonight.

I think that's probably one of the most known/universally liked movies among a wider range of age groups.
but to be honest, while it's still among my favorite movies (but just barely @ a 6.5-7/10), it's lost a good portion of it's spark for me compared to many years ago as in Feb 2015 is when it lost a solid chunk of it's magic for me as my viewing prior to that would have been sometime before Dec 27th 2011 and at that time it was still floating around a 9/10 etc.

Still holds up as an absolute classic.

It always struck me as weird that Marty’s mom seemed perfectly fine about being near Biff at the end of the movie, even though he tried to rape her.
Anyway, the movie is definitely a classic that any self-respecting movie fan should see.

True, or that George would seem that comfortable around him, or that Marty wouldn't remind them of Calvin Klein.

Now that I think about it, they probably think that the Calvin Klein fashion brand was named after him.

Great movie. Hopefully Universal will release new 4K remasters of the films soon

They thought Biff wouldn't dare to do anything bad to them ever again... and they were right.
