It's tough Tom, certainly between Le Chiffre and Silva, but Le Chiffre is the more complex, interesting character with better dialogue. Silva got a little annoying with his stereotypical tippy-tapping-on-the-keyboard hacker shtick.

It's between Silva and Le Chiffre. Both were great villains excellently played by their respective actors but in the end Silva won out for me. The torture scene in Casino Royale may have been the most this Bond has suffered at the hands of a villain but it was the act of a desperate man after Bond had first thwarted is scheme and then defeated him at the poker table. Silva meanwhile was able to complete his objective effectively besting Bond which is not an easy thing to do.

I would say Le Chiffre. He had that look about him that was truly evil, very good Bond villain.

Quantum Of Solace is highly underrated. It actually plays quite well, I enjoy the action, and love that it's a bit shorter and different than his other high drama films. Dominic Greene is perfectly creepy and controlling.

Le Chiffre! Mikkelsen was fantastic and he actually put Craig´s Bond in danger in a way which resonated with me and made Bond seem even sexier.

Ooh, it's a toughie but for the best main villains / culprits of the Craig run of "Bond" films I'd have to go:-
1. Neal Purvis
2. Robert Wade
3. Judy Dench

Silva felt more like a traditional Bond villain, but Le Chiffre was more intriguing as a character even though he's just a middleman. It felt like a breath of fresh air to see a Bond villain so financially vulnerable (since a handful of Bond villains are known to wealthy megalomaniacs) and going to great lengths to get what he wants, while being bested by Bond at every turn.

Silva, but I nearly voted for Le Chiffre.
Silva gave me the creeps, especially when the camera stays on him as he's approaching 007 and giving him that story about the rats.

Bit of a ropey selection on offer here. I suppose Le Chiffre by default, but the crying blood didn't impress me one bit. Silva was a caricature, and not in a good way. I thought the character was poorly realized and the acting didn't help. Greene is completely forgettable. Blofeld seemed to hardly be in the movie.
