Ah, I had to Goggle that!
It's currently available in Canada, and will be introduced in the U.S., in April '21. Some locations will offer in-store samples, in March.
"Bourbon Vanilla Bean Truffle," has all manner of possibilities.
The alcohol content is low enough, by U.S. federal law, that it doesn't require I.D., for purchase. However, the article notes that state laws vary.
It would be interesting to hear any reviews/comments, from Canadian posters.

Is this real? I am not sure how I feel about this. I like some good ice cream after a night of drinking but never thought of something like this.

I live in America and almost all of those Haagen Dazs "Spirits" are available. I'm guessing in larger supermarkets, even more are available. I'm curious and want to try a few of them. The rose one (I can't make the accent over the "e" so it looks like I'm writing about rose ice-cream) tastes primarily like vanilla, but then there's these red ribbons running through, and a little towards the bottom, you can definitely taste the wine! My store currently carries the following "Spirits:" Irish Cream Brownie Bourbon Vanilla Beam Whiskey Hazelnut Rose and Cream Rum Raisin They make a number more. I'm really curious about the Stout and Amaretto. Don't those sound delicious? lol

Vaping flavors are under fire because it "attracts kids," but alcohol flavored ice cream is fine. wtf Have you ever lived in Europe? I had rum flavored ice cream bought from the gas station when I lived in Germany as a teenager. That goes for about any confectionery too. Cognac filled chocolates etc. Hell I don't consider German chocolate cake real if it does not have booze in it! Same goes for fruit cake. Europeans really don't care when it comes to liquor in food and children.
I highly recommend the Cafe Honey-do in Hohenstaufen, Germany for the best German chocolate cake and best dumplings with a creamy chanterelle mushroom sauce (not sure if its still on the menu but this specialty was still on 10 years ago). This place also has great views.

That is why sweeter liquors such as rum, schnaaps, amaretto, limocello, and cherry wine are much recommended. I can see vodka and stout beer as harsh.

And a spoon.

I'd love Bourbon Vanilla - that's what I use to cook. Whiskey Hazelnut sounds interesting. The rose and cream is very nice. But I love the taste of amaretto and yep, I'm curious about the stout. lol There's so little alcohol in these ice creams to begin with, it'll just be lending a taste. But yup, I'd totally try the stout.

That sounds amazing! I’ve had alcohol with milkshakes before but not icecream I used to make milkshakes with my dad's rum when I was a kid. He didn't know of course. One of my buddies would always pester me for a rum milkshake when no-one was home. I remember apple bees used to have an alcoholic milkshake if it’s even still there. Those are the best but dangerous because you can’t taste the alcohol lol

I've tried the amaretto, Irish cream, and bourbon varieties, and they're delicious (I think there was a bourbon/praline flavor, too). I haven't seen the vodka/whiskey/wine varieties here in NJ yet. Anyone who thinks ice cream and liquor are a weird combination--try it; you may be pleasntly surprised.

I doubt there is enough liquor to get you drunk. I l like alcohol fused confections. My mom let me try champagne at 8 for the holidays. Alcohol was not forbidden, but I was raised to take precautions and not get drunk. I have never been drunk in my life, it scares me.

Yum, I loved Rum Raisin since I was a 20 something year old. Baileys is ok, but surprisingly Kroeger Private Selection made an Belgian Chocolate Irish Cream that is delicioso. And not as expensive!
