I'm not sure how this site works but I appear to be missing posts on some threads. Could it be that a member has blocked me? If someone blocks me, would I still see their posts or would it hide them from me even though I haven't blocked them?

It wouldn't be because someone else has blocked you, as you would still see their posts. Is it your posts you're not seeing, or someone else's?

Someone elses, and they're just showing up as {user} on posts of mine that they've 'liked'. From my end it looks like the person has just disappeared completely along with their posts which made me think I'd been blocked (even though I can't think of a reason someone would block me).

That happens when someone deletes their account. If it's who I'm thinking of, that person requested an account deletion and a total wipe of all posts a little while ago.

Admin, I've noticed that not only are that person's posts gone, so are all the threads that she started, including every post that other members contributed with. No offence, but that's an IMDb-y thing to do, isn't it? Some of her topics were more interesting than others, and there were many long and well-thought posts that have completely vanished without any forewarning. For example, the photo quiz part 1 is now lost for eternity unnecessarily. Can you explain in detail how exactly you wiped out entire threads. Surely, there must be better solutions out there? Please see this as constructive critcism for the future. Also, I don't get why people who get tired of a forum for whatever reason often want their accounts deleted rather than just stop logging in. It's like throwing your toys out of the pram.

Nick91I'm so sorry about that. It was totally my fault for deleting the user's posts as well as threads started by said user. Please accept my sincere apology and my promise to never make that mistake again. Yes, it was an unusual request, but if someone asks me to wipe their post history, then I'll wipe their post history. No judgment. -John

We apologize also. We are just learning the forum software, and it's fairly easy to make a mistake.
