Did anyone find these comfortable? We all have different length/size toes. These look painful, and all I can think of is: friction! Edwardian hats : it would definitely give cause for a wide berth. How does one clean them? Keeps haberdasheries in business. 1930's shoulder pads. But we did bring them back in the 80's and 90's didn't we? This one I disagree with. 1950's Cat Eye glasses. I love them. Wide collared shirts. I think Travolta pulled them off nicely, but... Anyone remember those rat tails?

The Skinny, Too-Small Suit The fabric breaks at the chest, pulls at the button and exposes the tie end. Sloppy, thrift-store look. Is it history? Let's just hope it soon will be.

I'm not fond of that either. The whole "slim fit" look I find woefully wanting. I understand a suit with a good fit, but that looks painted on. I don't like "skinny jeans" either.

The whole dressing like you’re mentally ill look... I always want to yell at them, "Pick up yo damn pants, man!" Not only that, how can they walk?

Wool bathing attire. I realize (and can appreciate) that modesty was king at the turn of the last century, but those couldn't have been comfortable, especially being made out of wool (the stockings anyways). I can't even fathom people in the South wearing those to the beach. I guess you could have put up with in the NE with a more mild summer, but goodness.

The whole dressing like you’re mentally ill look... Racist. Gee, I never knew exceedingly bad taste was exclusively a racial attribute... Anyway, the guy to the right looks to be possibly either Anglo or Hispanic.

Gee, I never knew exceedingly bad taste was exclusively a racial attribute... Anyway, the guy to the right looks to be possibly either Anglo or Hispanic. The guy on the right looks like he's probably black. Straight white males and straight black males almost never hangout together. Maybe they're gay?
But I never knew black guys were the only ones who slung their pants low. I mostly see white guys under 40 do it now. It's also passé by the way and most blacks have moved on. Blacks tend to set fashion trends.
As a queer I like checking out their asses anyway.
I was also being facetious for Stamm's benefit. Yeah, the 'way-downs' don't show up around my area much any more. I live in a Southern state, so i wondered if that might partly be a regional thing, but it does look like the fad for them amongst young black men seems to have largely passed. Never caught on too much with the young whites around here. BTW, I figured you were having a funny, just the notion of 'taste' having some racial determinant I found humorous. After all, when it comes to bad taste in fashions, white guys under 40 pretty much have a headlock on that .

Stammerhead: Ditto on the sagging pants trend. It's disgusting. All pleather fashion-ware does not age well: I actually don't mind the T-shirt over long sleeve shirts that was born out of the early-1990s grunge. It looks good on certain people like Jennifer Aniston in one episode from Friends:

As a Doc Martens punk, I adore much of the d.i.y. fashion punk ushered in, inventive combinations, and cool gear like colourful hair and clothing, attractive accoutrements (a la bows & pins), modified miniskirts, stripey socks, safety pins and more ...
But the one thing I never liked was the overdone combinations. Nowadays, you see this a lot, and hippies do it too. For example, when women wear dresses over dungarees, or skirts over chunky trousers, I just think it looks a bit naff.
