Catman also strongly supports the semicolon.
However, he absolutely loathes apostrophes.

Catman also strongly supports the semicolon. However, he absolutely loathes apostrophes. I enjoy the semi-colon as well. Why do you loathe apostrophes? Do they seem cumbersome? I don't particularly like them, particularly if they follow an 's' because then I am forced to make an ugly.

The semicolon. I like how it can grant clarity and/or help with sentence structure.

Semi-colon ;
”I met him in ’65, and I was in the Workshop from ’65 to ’67. I spent the lion’s share of my time at Iowa with Kurt Vonnegut, and we’ve been close friends ever since. The only criticism he ever made of my writing was making fun of my fondness for semicolons, which Kurt never liked very much. He called semicolons ”transvestite hermaphrodites.” [Laughs] And so whenever we had a correspondence I would try to write him a letter that was one sentence connected by an infinite number of semicolons. [Laughs]"

Quotation marks are fun to use after someone has made an “interesting” point.

I do like to use parentheses a lot (I particularly like to use the square ones [but they're not really suited for "normal" sentences]). {I don't really like and usually don't use these "curled" ones}.

I'm positive I've told this story before, but I'm gonna tell it again anyway. I minored in Creative Writing and my Creative Writing professor told us we had 4 exclamation points to use for the rest of our lives, so don't waste any in her class. I thought that was really funny.

I've been known to use a comma or two. I used brackets a lot for giving side info. I'm fond of brackets for the same reason.
