There's an anti-smoking one I recall from I think the late Seventies/maybe early Eighties that disturbed the bejesus out of me, and which I can't find any reference to online. The ad shows a woman standing in front of the camera, holding a photograph of her face up where her face would be. She tells the viewer that her husband had a habit of smoking in bed; of course, one night he falls asleep with a lit cigarette and there's a fire. It ends with her saying that her husband died, and "I got out. Everyone tells me I was lucky." She then lowers the photo to reveal that she was horribly burned.
That ad was profoundly upsetting--I only recall seeing it a couple of times. I suspect it was pulled for maybe being too graphic and shocking. What's odd is that I can't find a mention of it on YouTube or anyplace else. I don't really want to see it again, but I wonder if anyone else recalls this PSA?
