I try to keep my daily dietary sugar intake pretty low, but man, the food processing industry sneaks sugar into damned near everything. If you live on nothing but unprocessed meats and vegetables (with NO added sauces, dressings, seasonings other than, say salt and pepper and the like), then you're okay.

Never have completely. But I look at the numbers on products. Kinda tough to limit both sodium and sugar for certain things like bbq sauce, for example. And then if you overeat stuff, you get em anyway. Soon Trump will relax the labeling requirements - count on it.

I almost only eat rice, meat, and vegetables. I never add salt, sauce, condiments, etc. That's how I was raised, eating "bland" food. But now it's the only way I can eat. It's also why I never eat out unless it's a special occasion.

...hmmm...I haven't had a soft drink since the early 1990's. I also stay away from white bread and most processed foods.

I never really had it in my diet, as I'm NOT a big fan of sweets.
