Bee Gees:
"New York Mining Disaster 1941"--Trapped in a mine, the narrator torments his co-worker and uses up all the precious air in the mine by singing continually as they wait for a rescue that doesn't come.
"I've Gotta Get a Message to You"--Yet another singing-all-the-way-to-the-death-chamber song, the narrator, who apparently falsettoed his victim to death, is told by a clergyman that he doesn't have time for a last phone call (and the preacher's not gonna give him a dime to make one anyway).
