Which do you prefer, Super Nintendo or Sega Mega Drive (Genesis)?

That's a bit like asking whether you prefer the Beatles or the Stones, or Coke or Pepsi... I love both consoles. However, if I'm pressed to choose one over the other, I'd go with the SNES as it was technically the more impressive of the two. Although of the whole 16-bit era, the Amiga was always my favourite. Ah, great days...

What about the Super Famicom honey? Doesn't that affect Nintendo too? Don't you know anything about the Super Famicom? How like it had tons more games than the SNES? Let me see Sega CD, 32 X, Megadrive, Sega Vision. No not the magazine. It's hard to choose a favorite, they both seem to have so many options at that point in their lives. The Sega CD was one of the best most powerful adaptations of arcade classics. Take Final Fight CD. It was almost perfect looking. O my God, it even had a rock n roll soundtrack. SNES was too synth sounding for me. I don't know Wolf-swordsman, I can't make this decision.

SNES, but I also liked the Genesis as well. I'd say between those 2 systems I preferred SNES a tad, but Genesis was also a great system as well. Glad I did get one, after I first got a SNES.

super nes. The only games I liked on Sega Genesis Were Sonic The Hedgehog or 3rd party games like Clay Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, which had the exact same game duplicated on the SNES

Was a Mega Drive boy back in the 90s, so had to vote for Sega.

I've never owned an SNES, but both systems are practically interchangeable, according to some of the reviews off of YouTube.
True, the SNES had a bigger selection of games (and later dominated SEGA in the long-run), but I grew up with the Genesis, and owned a lot of the add-ons, such as the CD and 32X, as well as the Game Gear.
The local cable company at the time offered the SEGA Channel. You could download content available here in the States, and actually play games that were exclusive overseas. Plus, the transfer rate was phenomenal, seeing as how everything was transmitted via coaxial cable. No need to occupy a phone line.
At least my friends had an SNES. We could switch back and forth depending on which games we wanted to play on certain consoles. Good times!

SNES & this isn't close.
Zelda 3, Contra III, Chrono Trigger, DKC2, etc. SNES' exclusives remain competitive with any system's from any era.

The Mega Drive had some great games too though.
Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, Comic Zone, Gunstar Heroes, Shinobi etc.

Both are freaking awesome and in my top three game consoles (along with the N64) but I'll go with SNES.
