@theoriginalpinky The Admin and the Mods should be enforcing the rules. The rules should apply to everyone not just those they dislike.
Agree, but there needs to be a reasonableness about it, and your disliking someone and insisting they be dinged is as unreasonable as their not liking someone and dinging them.
Ignore is the best option, unless, of course, they are posting pornography, personal information, and blatant offensive racism.
funny thing, mentioning the biggest problem I had with ignore on Oimdb, someone/some posters WERE posting personal information [that I didn't tell them] on imdb everywhere I went on imdb. ignoring only made ME not see this, everyone else saw it as plain as day. getting each of the posts reported was impossible because 'thanks, we have enough information on this poster'. THEY ARE POSTING MY ADDRESS YOU ASSWIPES! DOOOO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
let it go let it go let your love open da door...
as my 3 1/2 year old niece sings it. much better message.
John, on the former IMDb, most of the trolling was of a political nature that devolved into insults and name-calling. I'm grateful that this new forum has a separate political thread, so the trolls can be happy.
I trust that your people will be diligent about removing messages that digress from the main theme of the thread....
