What you like and don't like? Don't hold back.
For me Personaly I think it's the worst. It has a lot of stuff that I like but over all the film is just a mess.

I still find it hilarious, and the biggest goof is that the Aliens were kept in metal cells that could easily be corroded by their blood

It's a remarkably horrible film in every respect. The story is atrocious. The acting is laughable. The direction is lazy. The movie is about as scary as a Teletubbies episode. The cinematography is ugly. The characters are as interesting as watching paint dry.
In short, nothing about this wretched movie comes anywhere close to cinematic competence.

I actually found the whole very movie somewhat to be pulpy coolness.

^^^ as absurd as it sounds, I somewhat agree with everybody above even when they disagree, shows what a weird animal of a film this is.

I thought there were flashes of brilliance (the clones/seeing the aliens use their acid blood strategically/the score), but so much of it was weirdly bad. I like the above mention of pulp, because it did seem like it could laugh at itself. I saw it in theatres when it came out and it came off oddly tongue-in-cheek after "Alien3" which was really dark and mean. There were some cool visuals and ideas, but this is my least favorite of the series by a long-shot.
Watched to the credits to see who styled Dan Hedaya's shoulder hair to no avail. I'll find out one day.

I don't think it's that bad. Sure it's inferior to Alien and Aliens. I might be slightly worse than Alien 3 but I think it's a pretty watchable film. The biggest offender is the newborn.
But I love the score and Ron Pearlman in that film.

I actually thought Prometheus both sucked and blowed.

It's not a good movie, and it definitely doesn't fit with the tone of the franchise, but it's actually really funny (and intentionally so). it's kind of entertaining.

I think the creature effects are some of the best of the franchise.
And of course, Ron Perlman is in it. That's a win.
