What a horrible start into the new year! I hope it will still turn out to be a happy one for you.
I wish you a speedy recovery and lots of energy and strength to ward off any future attacks on your immune system!

Nora is the fever gone? Any update? Your parents must be frantic so far away and unable to care for you thank you. yes my parents are worried (even though i spared them the gruesome details of high fever high pulse rate and severe headache) but they know I am on the phone with my doctor and my husband (whom they like very much) is here taking care of me so that somewhat eases their concern. I am doing better now, than you! I am carefuly optimistic. Fever is gone, headache is milder, whats most burdening now is the insomnia, 3-4 nights on only a few hours, and the muscle and skin pain All Over. As if I ran a marathon and also was whipped or something. Super sensitive skin, a gentle stroke now hurts. Weird huh?? Its doing something to the central nervous system obviously...

I'm in the middle of a five day isolation. After having a fever much of the weekend, I got tested, it came back positive. I will miss a total of six days of work. I should be covered for sick time, hundreds of hours accumulated through seven years of employment. The fever is gone, thank goodness.

Man oh man, is everybody getting this thing or what? My friend just told me he and his family—all triple-vaccinated, masked (N95s) to the nines, social distanced everywhere they go—just got it.

For all the talk about the booster making it so that people are still somewhat protected from a breakthrough infection, all I keep hearing are stories where whole groups of boosted people are getting infected. I guess we just have to hope that the booster will at least protect against severe infection because it doesn't seem to be holding up very well to preventing infection.

Nobody around me who is boosted got infected. Incuding my husband who spent the entire week taking care of me and ONCE OR TWICE even ate from my plate against my advice

I think (HOPE) it is safe to say I am ok now. It has been a full week. These are the symptoms developments:
Day 1 - headache Day 2 - headache intensified, fever of 103 sets in witch chills and shivers all night Day 3 - headache persistently bad, fever steady over 102, occasional nausea Day 4 - fever drops, skin sensitivity and sore muscles come in, headache persistent Day 5 - bones and muscles still hurt, crazy skin sensitivity, touch of a finger or my own clothes is almost painful. Headache milder, fever gone, now coughing and chest pain adds Day 6 - all symptoms gone except wheezing and lots of coughing Day 7 - minor wheezing still here
Today no wheezing, no nothing. Hoping it will stay that way. Was not a pleasant ride.
Treatment:
Day 1 - nothing Day 2 - ibuprofen, paracetamol, melatonin, cold shower, cool rag on my forehad Day 3 - paracetamol, aspirin, lots of tea with lemon, plus raw garlic, HUEL and multivitamins with focus on vitamin D, C, Day 4 - aspirin plus vitamins and huel and tea with lemon Day 5 - Cough syrup, eucalyptus and olive oil hot rug on my chest Day 6 - Erdosteine plus Ventolin inhaler plus Onion and Watercress syrup, vics alternative rub on chest Day 7 - Flovent inhaler

Good thoughts are still coming your way. thank you all for your support it really did calm me down a lot to have people from here sending me positive wishes or prayers. 💕💕😍 Nora I hope you or anyone never gets it as bad as I had it. I week through 2 1/2 weeks of hell. I swear I am not exaggerating. I could do nothing but lay in bed. Was in bed 23 hours a day. Only time I forced myself to get up was to go to the bathroom and make myself eat and drink something. There were days I would go without eating for 3 days. Had no appetite at all. Twice I took a shower and collapsed to my knees both times. A couple times I really wanted to die. I lucked out and am better now. Would not wish what I went through on my worst enemy. Good health to everyone!
