A discussion is exactly what I attempted to start before your little temper tantrum. I'm the only one who tried to make a discussion with you in regards to this topic. What is wrong with you?

In regards to what? Dallas broker contamination protocol if I remember correctly. I am just saying stay off my threads unless you want to discuss something. He was discussing. He asked you to clarify something which, frankly, you should have specified from the start. "In regards to what" is precisely what I would have asked as well, and since it is directly relevant to your OP, it constitutes discussing.

Sure, in regards to other captains did you find his way of thinking worse at all.

That's why he looked inside the egg.

Near enough the whole crew lacked logic for most of the film, from the moment they decided to land on a planet that was covered in plasma (or whatever kind it was) storms, that the colony ship couldn't even get through to land without being destroyed, was a bit of a giveaway, as to what to expect from the film when it comes to characters decision making abilities
For the record i enjoyed the film, but i was hoping we weren't going to just get the stupid character decision making premise film makers seem to like using to drive the plot along, because i am sure there have to be writers out there, that can write a story without relying on having characters doing dumb stuff all the time

Let's face it, from the opening scene (the most pretentious piece of garbage I've ever seen!), you just know it's gonna get worse. What really bugs me though, is the fact that this is a PREQUEL to Alien, yet all the technology etc seems to be more advanced than anything in the original movie. I'm also sick of the same cliche BS they regurgitate, are they totally devoid of original ideas ? And I'm not talking cinematic, simply with regards to this franchise. How many times must we be subjugated to "communications interference" But the crowning turd in the waterpipe, Country Roads !! Really ?? Why not a video clip from Dumb And Dumber while you're at it ?? Ridley Scott should have left it well alone. He's gone from the creator of one of the greatest sci-fi movies to a moron who will milk it for all its worth regardless of the consequences. Jaws anyone ?

I agree with your complaint about technology being improved even though this is meant to be a prequel. But you should have appreciated the inclusion of Country Roads, then - because it ties it closer to our time. Besides, the reason why we hear it in Covenant is because it's what Elizabeth Shaw is singing at the end of Prometheus.
