Loved this show as a kid and thought Dick Clark was just dandy as the host. It's the only show I've ever played with my family where we actually interacted with what was happening on screen. During the last round, one of us would sit in the other room, and the one at the tv would turn down the sound and give out clues. Lots of fun. I don't remember ever having that many laughs watching any daytime game show.

This was in my opinion the best gameshow of all time. They really got it down to a science once the 80's rolled around. There were certain strategies that players figured out, the show figured out what the best rules to have in place were and they had a high standard of who to bring on the show. It wouldn't matter how big a celebrity the person was, if he or she sucked, they wouldn't get on the show. Same with the contestants. That I think was a problem for the show in the 70's sometimes. There were times where you saw a lot of really really bad play with some celebrities who were horrible at the game. Once they upped the standards in regards to who to put on the show, it got 100 times better.
