Yes!! They did an amazing job making him look and sound like Peter Cushing. This movie would not have been as good without Tarkin.

I loved it. Yes you can still tell it's CGI, but I didn't find it to a level that it was bothersome. It was more looking for the evidence that it was, vs. having the unrealness of it smack you upside the head. Tarkin absolutely sets the bar for future efforts to reach and hopefully even surpass in the future, IMHO.

Did you Like Grand Moff Tarkin in " ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY".....YES or NO ? I did like. I have heard others complain about the quality of the CG, but I honestly thought it was really good. However, people have pointed out to me that even though it may look good now, it may become more dated as time goes by. Which could certainly take people out of the scene. That is something to consider, but for the time being, I thought it was great.

Yes. What people who are critical of his appearance to need to realize is that Peter Cushing (Tarkin) died in 1994. Any footage/pictures that exist of him will not be as great of quality as film/photos of actors in 2017. In this case, the filmmakers on Rogue One were working with content of Peter that is over 21 years old at minimum!
So yeah, the CGI can only look so good. Combine that with the fact that people knew Peter wasn't alive when Rogue One was made, and we get the present, overly harsh reviews of his appearance in the movie. Some people just won't suspend disbelief.

I think it would have been more effective if they showed him more sparingly, but I liked it overall....

Nice to see him again- and give Krennic the shaft by assuming command of the death star. I wish we had more of him on screen

In some of the shots he had that fake CGI look to him. But in most of the scenes he was very convincing. Some of the best human CGI character ever done. And I liked his role in Rogue One. So overall I approve.

While it was obvious it was CGI, it was nice to see Tarkin again. I've always been a fan of Peter Cushing and the chance to see him even as CGI was fun.

I loved it because it pushed the limits of what CGI can do and it broke new ground in digital animation. It did what Star Wars was always meant to do: revolutionize the use of special effects and point it in new directions.

Considering how long Peter has been dead now I think they did and excellent job on it.

I really wasn't expecting him to be in it. I thought I was going to hate it but the actor and the CGI department did a great job. I was able to tell that it wasn't Peter Cushing but whatever.

Absolutely not, and Tarkin is one of my favorite characters. But the CG was distracting and looked like a cut scene from a video game. I was more excited by the lookalike at the end of ROTS.

Yes. Love? No. I'm glad he was there & I'm quite satisfied with the cg performance.
