Very funny movie, and along with V.I. Warshawski (1991) as my two favorite 90s Kathleen Turner films.

"Serial Mom" is one of the best, most powerful movies ever made about self-preservation and dignity. It's universal message crosses all boundaries, and instills one with the hope that it's not too late to better ourselves. Since, it's impossible in the world we live in to empathize with others, we can always empathize with ourselves.

So, in essence, you would have rested your case, too- had you been representing yourself and felt the prosecution had proven nothing?
