Ray Harryhausen's final motion picture, featuring a Gorgon, a Kraken, a Pegasus, and a mechanical owl.

A 7 for me. I really loved it as a kid, but later on the story does seem too thin. Better than the remake, though.

8/10; sentimental childhood favorite that I'm prolly overrating by a bit.

We didn't know it at the time when we went to cinemas and watched it, that this was Ray Harryhousens swan song, though he lived many years after. and we thought it was great, but that was me at 21 y/o. The mechanical owl was a comic relief!!
Seeing it again in 2017 I was hughly dissapointed, but not because of the now ancient special effects, but because of the plot holes that I thought was to many that I never thought of before.
6/10 it's not a waste of time seeing Lord Laurence Olivier and Ursula Andress in the same movie, and to quote Larry Olivier on why!!! and I think he gave an honest answer "For the money my boy, for the money" great applaudes and great reviews means nothing if you have children after years on the theatrical stage..

I looooved this movie as a kid. Looking back, it hasn't aged particularly well. But the nostalgia value still holds up.

7.10 The creaky special effects, while memorable, let it down.

6/10. When I saw it in the cinema as a kid it was brilliant and I still have a soft spot for it. Lame acting and cheesy humour, but Harryhausen still had it.
