"Jazz De Luxe" - Earl Fuller's Famous Jazz Band
Jazz from 1918.
It sounds rather noisy, and I'm not just talking about that blue amberol sound quality....jazz in 1918 was the antithesis of the "smooth jazz" of today.

I just listened to Hall & Oates' "Kiss on My List." It's Saturday night and I'm feeling nostalgic for the early '80s. My set list also included:
Diesel — Sausalito Summernight Paul Davis — Cool Night Asia — Only Time Will Tell Men at Work — It's a Mistake Michael Stanley Band — He Can't Love You
Now playing:
Steve Winwood — While You See a Chance

"Heart like a Radio" - Marcia Hines. She is an African-American singer who found success after moving to Australia. This particular song came out in 1983 (though the below TV clip is from 1986).

I just watched the 24 April 1980 episode of "The Don Lane Show", an Australian talk show. It features three songs, including a cover of "Boogie Oogie Oogie" by Penny Parsons:
The other two songs were a cover of "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Chet Reynolds, and a cover of "She Believes in Me" sung by Don Lane (who should have stuck with hosting).

"Here Comes the Sun" - Vincent Price Orchestra Released 18 September 1930 on Hit of the Week Records, a record label based in New York City. They released single-sided records made of cardboard covered in acetate. These records could be played as many times as regular records. They sold for 15 cents (adjusted for inflation, that is $2.16 in 2016 money). They were for a time the best selling records on the market.

^ I prefer my music sung in English but that melody in the verses was gorgeous. The chorus unfortunately sounded like every other North American top 40 track but otherwise, it's good.

"Shoulder Arms march" - Edison Military Band Released 1907 on Edison Records. This video I put together myself, and features vintage drawings and photos from the 1900s related to the record industry:
It was common at the time for record labels to have groups named after the record label. For example, Columbia Records had the Columbia Quartette, Victor Records had the Victor Military Band, Indestructible Records had the Indestructible Symphony Orchestra, etc....these groups were put together by the record label for the purpose of making records, and did not exist outside the recording studio. They could be seen as early manufactured groups.

"Go" - Robert Cobert Theme music from the short-lived 1983 game show "Go". If I ever became the king of a nation, I'd like this as the national anthem.
