YESSS!!!
The BBC probably had buyer's remorse the instant the ink dried on Pearl Mackle's contract, but the plummeting ratings have kept them from hiding her departure any longer.
Still, we must continue to BOYCOTT until Chris Chibnall pledges to undo the damage from this season.

Actually, now that I think about it, there is ONE way they could get me to prematurely end my boycott this season: 1) 'Bill' is revealed to be an evil agent of Darvos, and she is quickly and unceremoniously killed off by The Doctor shoving her through a window into the vortex of the space-time continuum, doomed to be trapped there for all eternity. 2) The Doctor and Nardole high five each other for once again saving the universe. They pop open a bottle of champagne, Calpaldi holds a sign in one hand that says "Hey there, SJW's!!" and gives them the middle finger with the other hand. 3) The end credits roll with the TARDIS flying thru space, and the Twelfth Doctor and Nardole celebrating, set to this tune: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IUIYwrMyiQNot only would I be willing to watch that episode, I'd consider it to be MUST SEE TV!

Yeah, we all remember how Martin Luther King didn't utter a peep about the Montgomery bus boycott, and refused to comment on what Rosa Parks did. < /sarcasm>

This is starting to line up with my theory that the new doctor will be Michaela Coel.
I said from the first rumors of her that Bill would die, the Doctor would feel guilty, and regenerate into a black woman.

Well when rumors surfaces that Michaela would be the next doctor, I didn't think they would have the "team" be two black women. So that meant no Bill...so why would the Doctor turn into someone so similar to his last companion? If she died and he felt guilty. So if Bill is truly dead, I would start putting more money on Michaela taking over.

And yet, if Bill isn't on next season, he will think that it was the "outcry" from the fans that did it. As opposed to it being the plan from the start. I stand by my theory that she is the excuse to cast Michaela Coel.

Perhaps. But I have the feeling they're not going to do a Lady Doctor this time.

A new Doctor, a new showrunner... it makes sense that they'd want to start fresh with new companion(s). When it was announced that both Moffat and Capaldi were leaving, you could pretty much mark the expiration date for Bill and Nardole on the calendar.

And yet, when this season STARTED, you Moffat apologists/BBC shrills openly scoffed at the idea that "Bill" would only last a single season, and sneered about how "Chinball already said NOTHING has been decided next year as far as companions go, so your claims that she's be gone by 2018 are baseless". Now that you have been proven wrong and they got rid of the character BEFORE the Christmas special (as I predicted ALL ALONG), you guys flip-flop 180 degrees and retroactively claim "that must have been the plan from day one, the plummeting ratings and negative feedback from viewers had nothing to do with it). Shall I copy and paste the comments from "Bill" apologists back in April, when you mocked the very thing you now claim was "planned" before a single episode aired? You guys are so shallow and pathetic.

It will be interesting where the show goes next.

Yeah, cuz the BBC got rid of Tom Baker and Lalia Ward in Dec. 1979 since John Nathan-Turner was taking over in 1980 and they needed to "start fresh" with an all new cast in 1980. Oh wait... that DIDN'T happen because Doctor Who didn't suck back then and people actually LIKED those characters and they were drawing big viewers. Shocking, I know. Sure. I have no doubt there's a very good explanation why the "Series 9" premiere drew 2 million viewers on BBC America but the "Series 10" premiere had LESS THAN HALF THAT NUMBER, and couldn't even muster 1 million viewers, and its only gone DOWNHILL since that episode. Let me guess. 1.2 million+ Doctor Who fans WANTED to watch "Series 10" this year, but they were kidnapped by Daleks and held hostage to prevent them from doing so. They all heard about how much "better" Bill is than Clara and they were soooo disappointed when they couldn't see for themselves just how awesome the show is now and they were crushed they couldn't see episodes about the Doctor fighting emojis and "Bill" telling people she's a lesbian every five seconds. Or, you know, it just MIGHT be that the show lost over a million viewers between the "Series 9" and "Series 10" premiere because viewers ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE FRANCHISE AND CHOOSE NOT TO WATCH THE EPISODES.Yeah, I'm sorry. What a crazy idea. Obviously, your theory that there's "no boycott" and they really wanted to watch those episodes but somehow couldn't is much more rational. Interesting. The only time you accidentally tell the truth is when you're being sarcastic. Well, at least you managed to get it right from time to time. The above statement is 100% accurate.

Which really has nothing to do with what's going on now. Yes. Viewing figures have gone down because some of the episodes haven't been that good, and that's what happens when that happens. The show may even be played out - it's had a pretty good run since the return, perhaps time to rest it for a decade or so. But the idea that there is some kind of boycott going on is laughable nonsense. And since you just attributed the above statement to me when I didn't say it - and you must have copied it from another post into mine to do so, a very deliberate action - then you are demonstrated to be a damn liar. Which means you lose.

Viewing figures have gone down because some of the episodes haven't been that good Interesting. You are correct there. Again, you manage to slip a grain of truth into your propaganda filled posts. Hmmm. And that's where you're wrong. Remember, the original incarnation of Doctor Who lasted TWENTY SIX SEASONS before it ran out of steam and went on "hiatus" indefinitely. Doctor Who is a British institution and is very proud of its legacy as the world's longest running sci-fi series. By contrast, the revival has been around for less than half that time. Ten series and they're old and tired and need to give the show a rest? Lots of popular television shows have passed that number of seasons and are still going strong. Heck, even the Law & Order SPINOFF series (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) is on its 18th season now, and nobody is saying its tired and out of ideas. British shows in particular have lasted decades without blinking (Last of Summer Wine, Eastenders, etc., etc. etc.) Compare to the show's original run, and classic Doctor Who was in its 10th season during the Jon Pertwee era. Nobody said it was old and tired and need a rest back then. It wasn't even at its peak popularity yet -- Tom Baker would take it to a whole new level. The problem isn't that the show is worn out after 10 years, the problem is the the writing sucks and Moffat has done everything he could to alienate the fans and drive them away. You can deny it all you want. Doctor Who is only dying because Moffat put it in that position. All your propaganda about how Bill is "better" than Clara and the new season shows "vast improvement" won't change the fact that MOST fans think its horrible, unwatchable GARBAGE. We can only hope Chris Chibnall can start over from scratch and begin to win back the fans.
