"Hellbent" An indie Slasher about a Psycho striking Halloween night... Focusing on a group of young gay guys for a change. Likeable characters. I found it charming.
"Lost Voyage" Basically "Event Horizon" on a Ship shot on a Hallmark budget. It's simple but enjoyable enough... It *is* made for TV and from 2001. Adjust expectations accordingly.
"The Ferryman" Terror for a group on a Sailing trip... Won't spoil it.

I totally agree here forca84 this is a good one .
Yet surprisingly I haven't seen this movie
on cable TV in at least 5 years that I can remember here ( I also remember it being shown a lot on the now gone channel FEARNET ) .
Thanks so much forca84 for the reminder of this film
and for the recommendations of these other films here as well .

Big Legend (2018) - A good, back-to-basics Bigfoot flick with a small cast and decent looking Sasquatch. The plot: A couple go camping in the woods. Girlfriend gets snatched by a Sasquatch while the boyfriend survives but ends up spending a year in a mental institution denying what he saw. Boyfriend gets out of institution and decides to look for answers by going back into the woods, there he meets a friendly redneck and together they embark on a Bigfoot hunt. The rest is predictable but well done. Adrienne Barbeau and Lance Henriksen have bit parts.
A solid 7/10 rating.

[/quote] I actually found the movie overly mean spirited. *shrugs* but maybe someone will like it. *spoilers* Especially when the Dog's Spine is broken and he cries for 20 minutes before being mocked and thrown overboard. It added nothing to the plot.

WHOA YIKES on that spoiler !!
It has been a very long time since I have watched this movie
and don't even remember those scenes ( either FEARNET edited those scenes or I totally blocked this one out ? ) .
Guess I won't be watching this one any time soon .
Thanks so much forca84 the heads up on this one too .

Hi mszanadu. When I glanced at the title The Devil Within Her, I assumed it was the Italian horror flick Beyond The Door (1974) because that one sometimes goes by that title. But now I see the one you're talking about is a different one, and a British-made one at that. Interesting.

Hello there Dramatic Look Gopher !
I guess for me now this definitely solved the mystery of
why a lot of these classic films use alternative titles
for almost the exact same types of films .
It certainly seems to vary from country to country and usually solves the confusion of these indeed .
Thanks so much for your reply .

LIFEFORCE 1985 - Mathilda May looks great in HD and the film has impressive production values for what amounts to an unofficial Quatermass and the Pit remake--but it dawned on me that the biggest problem with the film after a fantastic first quarter is that Railsback is totally wrong for the role. When you think of "space shuttle commander," does Charles Manson come to mind? Who the hell picked him for the lead? He's sincere enough, but just wrong for this. That's why his kiss with Patrick Stewart is such a hilarious affair--only someone who played Charles Manson could be so perfectly crazy. It needed a Michael Biehn type. Railsback wasn't even a marquee name so how did he get the role? I can't imagine Cannon being enthusiastic. Was it Tobe Hooper's idea? Just plain weird.

Patient Zero (2018) with Stanley Tucci as a zombie. You know I had to see that.

I am a big fan of the first one which I found had really creepy moments to it. Yet as much as I liked the first is how disappointed I am in the sequel.
No real scares and there is a lot of unnessecary scenes including the whole first half which focuses on a tv show doing a panel interview about the first film. I also hated a scene near the end where a character does a whole explanation of the hotel and the motives.
I understand that they are planning a third film, but unless it's free on Netflix or Amazon Prime I probably won't be seeing it.

I got this Integral version of 'Re-Animator' at JBHIFI when it came out a few years ago and I had no idea there was an extended cut until that came out and I enjoy the Integral version even more.

The Fury (1978)
A nice blend of sci-fi horror and espionage thriller. As expected in a Brian De Palma film, this contains outstanding camera work, exciting slow-motion scenes, and incredible gory set pieces. Kirk Douglas is perfect as the relentless father searching for his kidnapped telekinetic son, and John Cassavetes is a great sleazebag villain. A bit slow in spots, but overall a worthy thriller.

Wish Upon (2017) A dopey, if predictable monkey’s paw variant which in the end was rather amusing.

Slender Man (2018) Not as terrible as the reviews would have you believe. Some genuine moments of pure creepiness. Could have done with even more of that but not a terrible movie, by any means.

Rewatched Madman (1982). In the tradition of Friday the 13th and The Burning, you get a very familiar, but at times atmospheric (all staged during the one night) summer camp based slasher. Effective locations, underlining electronic score and a couple brutal encounters with Madman Marz make-up for a forgettable bunch of performances.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the uncut/complete version... but it looks like that might never happen since it looks like the production company doesn’t want anything to do with it. I do agree though. I didn’t find it to be as bad as it’s made out to be. Sure there are issues, especially studio interference, but really, in IMDb’s bottom 100?!
