Of course that's the argument you'd fall back on. Why, exactly, are you so bloody anxious to have your nose into a woman's personal reproductive affairs? Perhaps any and all here should have free access to your personal gynecological records and history? That ought to be fun.
Short reading. I don't have any.
Now since you want to play the 'if it's not YOU, stay out of it', WHO should've decided slavery was wrong? The slaves themselves, or the slave owners? Obviously abolitionists who were neither, should've minded their own damn business instead of repealing something that didn't affect them. They should've stayed in their own back yard and let the slaves figure out how to emancipate themselves.
Is this when the slaves were given rights and not had them taken away?

There lives more faith in honest doubt, believe me, than in half the creeds.

You mean by people who were never slaves so they weren't allowed to have any opinion on whether or not slavery was wrong, let alone go about changing laws about something that didn't affect them?

That does not describe Lincoln. And as for someone not being allowed a view on something reprehensible because it does not affect them directly .. that is nonsense. For one thing it would exclude you going on about abortion.

It's also supposed to exclude any and all men from having any opinion on abortion, including legal opinions, like the 9 old white men who ALLOWED women to get abortions, so women have actually been celebrating the patriarchy for 50 years and didn't realize it. Clearly that was wrong, and Roe V. Wade should've been overturned long ago, until it could be passed again by an all woman panel of justices, only now it would also have to include trans women since they count MORE as women than natural born women.

And yet, here you are again...

Also *you*. Men not being entitled to any say on abortion includes supporting it
If only one had to do what you say.....
Except I'm not the one saying ONLY the women who get abortions are allowed to have a say on it. Since they're not the ones being aborted themselves, their opinion doesn't matter either, only the baby's would since it's the one actually having the procedure done to it.

Here you are again, talking abortion, This view, like all of yours of late doesn't matter, apparently. Thank you for making things clear.

Fun fact, pro-aborts make it clear women who've HAD abortions' opinions don't count either, when they say 'I regret it every day, it was wrong, don't do what I did'. So basically the ONLY ones allowed to have any say on it are the ones who blindly support it and pretend it's the greatest thing to ever happen to women since the sports bra, and most of those women have NEVER had an abortion, OR been pregnant.

No, sorry but here you are still talking about abortions and it doesn't matter. It appears that you don't even pay attention to what you say, let alone what others tell you.

The moment politics became involved one could have expected the usual idiotic shitstorm this country invariably manages to brew around anything regarding sexuality, and more particularly, female sexuality.
IOW, if you're not the one pregnant, it is and should be none of your damned business.
And I'm pretty sure you're aware of this because you replied to my response to her.

As already noted, here you are, time after time, regularly painting women in a sexist manner and victim blaming, which unpleasantness actually matters quite a bit, if for the wrong reasons. I see just above you were having a pop at trans people too. Not a good look. And Amy has just as much a right to free speech and opinions as you. She just wants all of her rights.
Please post your medical history on this board so that we see whose damned business it is.

Would it be sexist to say to a man sexual actions have consequences? Is it victim blaming to tell the man he shouldn't have had sex if he doesn't want to pay child support for 18 years?

Congratulations! When are you due?
If you aren't sure if your post will violate the ToS, just don't post it. Err on the side of caution and this forum will live a long and happy life.

Why does that change after birth?
Because the child is then an individual human life. Sorry, but I do not believe that a six-week old embryo (and I emphasize the word embryo as opposed to fetus, because there is a distinct and relevant medical difference) holds claim to that status; at that point it is still an appendage of the host mother and does not, to my way of thinking, claim the rights of the post-birth being.

You failed this one when you made slavery equivalent to abortion. Sorry. I can't even begin to take such analogies seriously.

In both cases:
Someone else decided it was okay to dehumanize an entire group of people for looking different than them
They decided those people were their own PROPERTY that they could do with whatever they wanted
Since they decided those people were NOT human beings, NOT people, just their property, it wasn't murder to kill them
The only difference is slaves had a chance to run away, they had a chance to escape
Because the child is then an individual human life. Sorry, but I do not believe that a six-week old embryo (and I emphasize the word embryo as opposed to fetus, because there is a distinct and relative medical difference) holds claim to that status; at that point it is still an appendage of the host mother and does not, to my way of thinking, claim the rights of the post-birth being.
If people think a 12 week ban on abortion is SOOOOOOOO strict and extreme and unfair...HOW many women are getting one when they're SIX WEEKS along?
