Zero sacks, one QB hit. The shit pass rush again. Bills need a premium edge rusher, but it's a weak year for that in the draft 60 years running. The fuckers will never win a SB in my lifetime and I need to deal with that. The Sun will come up tomorrow Josh Allen is good enough to win. The defense is obviously beaten up badly. They may need a piece here or there, but it's too good a core to give up. There is every reason to believe that the Bills will he a legit super bowl contender next year and for years to come... ...unless you're a Bills fan. Then your reasons have a rich history of pessimism. "Wide right" continues to haunt Buffalo.

I’m not saying the Packers lost because of that missed field goal, but… The Packers lost because of that missed field goal. Its the same story every year. The Packers special teams always sucks outside of Mason Crosby was a consistent presence. I thought that after that kick return fumble that GB luckily recovered it was gonna be different. Those plays never seem to go GBs way in the playoffs. They are very unlucky in that regard, the ball just always seems to bounce the exact wrong way. However once again its just the Packers shooting themselves in the foot to get sent home. Love really imploded on that last drive. They had plenty of time with 3 time outs. Yet it was very reminiscent of Brett Favre watching him throw on the run across his body into an INT. Brett Favre is exactly who I thought of

I feel like this is Mahomes' first big non-SB fork in the road game. 1st road playoff game of his life, in enemy territory Buffalo no less. Chiefs win, that's a huge shoulder brush, gtfo we're kings. Chiefs lose, not only dents the Mahomes mystique, commencing a 'can't win playoffs on the road... until he does' narrative... + elevates the Allen Bills legacy. Reminds me of Brady-Manning... until it was played in Indianapolis, the 1 sided tilt of that rivalry was getting out of hand. Mahomes seemed to relish this opportunity, as much as you don't aim to play on the road come January. Bills D was not championship calibre, plain & simply. KC kept driving practically effortlessly. Chatter already they should just trade Diggs for a bundle, they've stopped using or needing him much anymore. Wide Right 2.0... is why 6 SB title celebrations with the Patriots will never ever grow old.

Wide Right 13 Seconds Wide Right (Tyler's Version)
Always the Bills...
6 straight AFC title game trips for KC. Unbelievable.

Looking at kick, wind left to right, holder tilts ball to the right, the ball will naturally slice. I don't know if a kicker can see and compensate for the hold.
Another difference from Norwood, this occurred with 1:45 left. Game is tied, Mahomes gets the ball in the easier kicking direction. Bills with 2 timeouts.

OT wasn't a given, the nameless QB in red had gobs of time. And Tyler Bass wasn't having his best season. Still, the wind always blows in that stadium. He should have done better
And XXV never should have been left to Norwood. The Bills cared more about golfing in Florida than the game. They took the Giants way too lightly. Because they had Jeff Hostletler as QB instead of the injured Phil Simms. And the Giants weren't the 49ers. The Bills were scared of Montana, Rice, Lott and Co. When the giants upset them, the Bills thought they had it made. They should have had that game won by halftime.

Mahomes' worst season is overtime in the AFC title game, a score away from the Super Bowl (pending what happens on Sunday, obviously).

Packers & Love will have a productive summer, & will surely be a popular NFC pick next season. Their missed FG was actually a very good kick for 41yds in the rain, under pressure... it was as close to going in as possible without hitting the post. Purdy was fine, yet unspectacular as usual. Drops by the likes of Kittle would've taken some onus off him had they lost. I still don't like how Purdy sets in the pocket - he has that hesitated little hop on his feet before he throws, costing expensive seconds. Once I see it, I can't unsee it. Ravens looked fine, they should be thankful they've earned the home game against either the Bills or Chiefs coming off huge win Sunday. Bills-Lions looks like a fun trainwreck of a SB for Las Vegas. Southern Ontario Bowl ftw. Loser of that one will feel it for decades. I thought Purdy was pretty bad. He was missing open receivers pretty regularly in the 4th quarter, but I also thought he was actually really strong at hanging in the pocket. I don't know what little hop you're talking about (but it could only possibly be a fraction of a second and not 'seconds'), but he keeps his feet planted way longer than I think most would, and he got passes off well after I thought he'd certainly be sacked.. which of course accounted for some of those missed throws. But his pocket presence is a lot more impressive than I thought.

The one positive is that the new OC, Joe Brady, seems to have cured Allen of being the "Mad Bomber" throwing bombs into triple coverage just to get on a highlight reel. They have a running game, something the Bills haven't had in the Allen Era. Losing Matt Milano hurt bad. He was having a spectacular season, some touting him for Defensive POY. They need help with edge rush and WR. Piss poor draft for the former, filthy rich for the later. And Brandon Beane has drafted exceptionally well. He's hit on every first round pick (jury's out on Kaiir Elam), nearly every 2nd (Cody Ford and Zach Moss). They are way over cap right now. The team needs to do something about Von Miller. He's making beaucoup bucks and producing nada. Might be time to move on from Diggs too. He looks like his better days are past.

Oh, and I believe the Mahomes-Kelce playoff TD connection surpassed Brady-Gronk - in case anyone wanted more Chiefs facts.

Oh, and I believe the Mahomes-Kelce playoff TD connection surpassed Brady-Gronk - in case anyone wanted more Chiefs facts. I didn't even know they had the record until I saw that this morning. Kind of surprising considering Gronk missed two entire postseasons with injuries, including the title run in 2016.

Since 2007 the Green Bay Packers have lost 7 playoff games by either walk off scores or surrendering the lead with under 2 minutes left. Only two teams have done this more than twice the Saints (4) and the Bengals (3). The Packers in the playoffs just tends to be the same script every time. So many times the defense is left on the field to lose the game. They can never seem to fix that constant issue no matter how many first round draft picks they invest in it. Oh and also, congrats to the Lions. Rooting for them. Just get the Chiefs out and the rest of these teams will have something to root for. If I recall, before they changed the rules, they lost a couple in OT after losing the coin toss, with Rodgers never touching the ball. Yeah vs the Cardinals Rodgers hit two hail marys to tie it and never saw the ball again in OT. Than the Seahawks onside kick blunder they tied it got the ball in OT and won. The other three with Rodgers at QB saw the 49ers win on walk off FGs twice and in Rodgers first playoff start against the Cardinals in OT he was sacked and fumbled the game winner. The other two were last Saturday and Favre throwing a pick six vs the Giants and losing in OT.

Gotta root hard for the Ravens on Sunday but I can't help but feel like the NFL is gonna make sure the Chiefs and Taydolf are in the Super Bowl. That is a rating wet dream for them. The Ravens are obviously the better team but it almost just feels inevitable that the Chiefs will win.

If I remember right, the Bills owner said he wanted Mahomes, but left the decision to the gm A lot of people thought Mahomes to be a "system QB". A guy who put up silly numbers with the Mickey Mouse offenses in the BXII. Another Akili Smith, another David Klingler. I read that Beane thought about Mahomes but decided to wait until the QB rich draft the next year. And a lot of Mahomes success was due to That Team From Missouri sitting Mahomes for a year behind Alex Smith. Buffalo might not have done that (they didn't with Allen).
One person who did believe Mahomes would be a superstar was our old friend Marco. Could be a broke clock situation

I know it's always the QB, but I have a hard time blaming Josh Allen after watching him in this game and much of this season. Yeah, he's got the gun slinger mentality, and yeah the final mistake was avoidable, but he also was let down by drops a number of times and the defense didn't pull its weight to the level that he did. If anything, is there going to come a time where they think Sean McDermott isn't getting enough out of this talent?
