The DCEU has more than just a hole in it. It was created on faulty foundations and the original franchise sins are never going to go away. Superman will always start out as a mopey, useless presence in the series. Batman will always be a murderer in his initial appearance. And the first few entries will always have a unbearably bleak and dire tone. The series shouldn't HAVE to try and fix anything. The series should have started good. It's been stained and that stain will never go away no matter how hard they try to get rid of it.

Yeah, bad analogy, because Tony was a likeable character from the very beginning. Superman and Batman still aren't and they still have ANOTHER movie where they're going to be directed by the same man who made them unlikeable. So three swings and misses, strike out. I shouldn't HAVE to grow to like this new Superman. He should have been a likeable character from the very first frame of footage he was in, not several movies later. I wouldn't extend this much slack to an unlikeable Marvel character, and I am certainly not going to extend it anyone in the DCEU.

"IF" WW & JL Fail, Is It A Good Thing?
Read more: imdb2.freeforums.net/post/38127/quote/3534#ixzz4byYpqlA6 On the one hand if the movies aren't good that is bad on it's face, but perhaps more importantly the brand could be so ruined if that occurs that it takes them quite a while to try any more.
On the other hand, failing yet again at this point, could force a reboot of the franchise and finally get some people in who can establish a collective long term vision like Marvel. The vision doesn't have to be the same as Marvel's, but a vision none the less. Yes. If those fails that would be a very good thing. Take the leash off of the CW make those CW/DC shows better.
