I know the summer movie season is far from over, but number wise is this one of the worse summer movie seasons we've seen? I feel like everything is either flopping or underperforming.

Guardians and WW are doing fine. However, Alien Covenant, the Mummy, Pirates 5, Baywatch and King Arthur either bombed or underperformed. Pirates and Mummy are doing fine in other countries, but the rest have bombed internationally as well.\
Cars 3 will probably debut to $51.8M

Which of these movies are a real and complete new output?

Spiderman is still to come, yet that won't save the season.

Spiderman is still to come, yet that won't save the season. Maguire, Garfield, this new one we saw in Avengers or is there a fourth one coming? I lost count...

I feel like everything is either flopping or underperforming. 2016, a lot of big hitters underperformed that year (like Star Trek Beyond, Jason Bourne, etc) and Ghostbusters flopping (inevitably) but there were a few successful films that summer as well (Captain America: Civil War, Finding Dory and Suicide Squad)

Hollywood is not dependent on numbers like it once was. They can finance film from other industries. Who knows with Hollywood accounting how much a movie really costs--these things are just propaganda anyway.
Wonder Woman was only made because they wanted to pave Clinton's warmongering with various woman warrior movies--Atomic Blonde being another.
They should have made it in the 90s when Lucy Lawless would have been an ideal choice, though even Famke Janssen would have been better than Gadot. Sorry to say she is really a beta next to those other two gals in their prime. Terry Farrell from Star Trek would have also been a good WW type.

What is it like being bat-shit crazy? Just curious. If I were bat shit crazy and could articulate the experience to others, it would be a wasted effort with you since your naivete suggests intellectual deficiencies. Amusing though to find people who are trusting of Wall Street bankers to be sincere providers of entertainment.

I'll bring up 2015 here:
A bunch of big films underperformed that year (Tomorrowland, San Andreas, Poltergeist, etc) May was the worst month of Summer Movie Season 2015, but it did have some good ones in there (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Mad Max: Fury Road and Pitch Perfect 2). June was a pretty good month (Jurassic World, Minions) with some underperformers (Insidious: Chapter 3), July was pretty good as well actually (Inside Out, Ant-Man, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation) and August had a few surprise hits (Pixels) and underperformers (Paper Towns, Sinister II, etc).

Inventing idiotic conspiracy theories based on zero evidence is an intellectual deficiency if there ever was one. Pointing them out is not. The fact of the matter is that the movie happened because Patty Jenkins approached the studio and fought to make the movie for 10 years. I know, facts are inconvenient things to people who only listen to the voices in their heads.

Inventing idiotic conspiracy theories based on zero evidence Forbes had Clinton on their magazine cover in 2008 with the headline Wall Street's favorite politician. It was no secret Disney wanted Clinton to win. Dr. Strange made the old one into a woman and it came out right before election. You are just too trusting of Wall Street I fear. And you believe their media too easily. I wish I could be as trusting. Once you take the red pill, there's no going back alas.
