First, let me say that I like watching Alien or similar movies. However, they all seem to be using a similar script:
The scientists do not seem to follow scientific procedures.
There's always one a-hole in the crew.
The alien often seems smarter than the humans.
There's little reason to care about most of the crew members getting killed, since there's very little character development.
A robot/android crew-member is generally a bad choice.
With that said, I'm sure I'll be watching the next Alien flick that come out.

Yeah, I don't like all the Alien films....but I'll watch them all. At least 'til AvP: Chess Match comes out.

Thank you for telling us what we ALL know about "Alien-related movies." Next topic?

I've seen only Alien and Aliens plus parts of AVP which didn't seem as bad as I heard. Having watched LIFE (2017) three hours ago, I'm slightly more interested in Alien: Covenant.

Well that was a mixed bag. Lots of cool stuff. Lots of bullshit. Surprised that I found myself liking Prometheus more. That being said, the creature effects and some of the action seemed better shot than what I remember.

AvP are good actions movie. Complaing about the lack of a complex and intellignet plot is like going to a heavy metal concert with the expectation to get Mozart.
