I remember watching this when it first aired and it was pretty good. Didn't the news keep comparing it to the War of the Worlds radio broadcast?

Yes, many people thought it was real. That's why I call it the MOST-INTENSE (MOST-REALISTIC) made-for-tv film of ALL-TIME.

I thnk Threads was a little more effective and memorable. Of course I didn't see this when it first came out.

Not as intense as watching a movie you think is an actual news report, but since I know both films are fictionalized, Threads held up better for me.

Lol, so TYPING LIKE THIS is equivalent to speaking like Christopher WALKEN?! I just use it for emphasis (or OVEREMPHASIS) as some might see it.
