I liked "The Returned" (Les Revenants), a French series they had on Netflix involving people coming back from the dead. Very spooky and atmospheric, extremely well done. Worth having to take the time to read the subtitles. I started this but gave up. Not really into horror. Which episode reveals what is causing people to come back or have they come to that point yet? Honestly, I'm not sure they every really fully explained the cause. The second season got more into the mechanics of it, and it did come to a satisfactory conclusion, although it was open-ended, just in case they were renewed.)

Unité 9 (filmed in the province of Québec, Canada). Set in a prison for women. Quite excellent and many, many, strong dramatic & emotional moments. (And created before "Orange Is The New Black"). Season 6 will begin airing in September. I loved it when it started, but then it started becoming a bit too soap-opera-like for my taste. I am still watching, but not with the same interest - I even missed some of the episodes last season. It never became similar to a soap opera in any kind of way, shape or form. And to this day, it remains one of the best french-canadian show ever.

Worth having to take the time to read the subtitles. I forgot to include this^ one on my list. I watched both seasons of it and quite enjoyed it. Indeed, it was very moody/atmospheric (I especially liked the opening credits/theme). I also forgot to mention the Danish series Heartless. I'd like some sort of proper conclusion to that show.

I started watching a show on Monday night called Trepalium. When it began, I thought “Is this Hunger Games: The Series?”, but it quickly established that wasn’t really the case.
I was rather confused about what was going on until probably the last third, when I started getting quite into it. The costumes, design of the sets and the world-building has me intrigued so far at least. There’s some really interesting stuff.
I forgot to mention previously that I’ve also watched Midnight Sun (though I probably didn't mention it because some of it was in English - as was another show I watched called Halfworlds).

Fan of Peter Stormare so will keep watching.

Sorry you didn’t like it. When I first started posting in this thread, I was only including my ‘favourites’, but then over time I started posting whatever ones I could remember having watched – whether I was particularly fond of them or not. I forgot I was only supposed to be including ones that I actually liked. I didn’t really care for Midnight Sun either, though I did manage to stick with it for all 8 episodes (though it probably helped that they were shown two at a time on TV here, so we got through them faster).
